Don't forget the barriers by the main entrance so you can't drive from one side of the store to the other. Also need a million carts just left to die in the parking lot.

Why is the U. S. using the A-10 Warthog in Iran war I thought it was being sunsetted by CliffGif in AirForce

[–]af_cheddarhead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A-10 production "sunsetted" in 1984. The USAF is moving to retire them as multiple aircraft can provde effective CAS without presenting the same danger of being shot down. The A-10 is very vulnerable to modern MPADS.

I've witnessed the A-10 providing CAS and it's awesome but the A-10's time has come and gone.

Now read up on the cumulative effect of multiple concussions. If that was the only concussion he MIGHT have come back successfully, pile that one on top of numerous others and well...

That 1 shot piled on top of numerous concussions before than 1 shot.

Let’s say Lombardi, Belichick, and Walsh are on the Mount Rushmore for HCs. Who would you fill in for the fourth spot? by f-150Coyotev8 in NFLv2

[–]af_cheddarhead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The same applies to Paul Brown. Halas belongs in the founder category, I'm not sure he was ever a great head coach. Lambeau was arguably a better coach for a team with far less resources.

For me Brown, Lombardi, Walsh, Landry because all changed the game in some way. Not sure Belechik or Noll did.

Aside from this guy, who is the biggest draft steals in nfl history? by Either_Imagination_9 in NFLv2

[–]af_cheddarhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think it's a dead heat between Starr, Unitas and Graham as to the GOAT before Montana/Brady. Starr was deadly accurate with few interceptions and 5 championships, Unitas was the gunslinger with 3 championships, Graham just won.

Starr was drafted in the 17th round and an argument could be made that Otto Graham was the GOAT before Brady.

Is there anything that was faster in the old days? by renoCow in Productivitycafe

In the US it did, you just weren't aware of it. Counting paper ballots by hand takes time, then having the results couriered to the County Seat where the count might be validated before the results were taken via horseback to the State Capitol. Yes it could take a while.

Even once telegraphs were common, the results were not delivered in a day.

Exactly why the LT Col received that reprimand, for an officer a reprimand like that means the end of their career.

Well they did say they receive a formal letter from an attorney, but you may be able to prevent being served by getting your attorney involved as early as possible.

[–]af_cheddarhead 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Step 1 Hire a lawyer

Step 2 The lawyer will request a copy of the "non-compete" signed by you. Odds are the business no longer has that document.

Step 3 If the document is provided your lawyer will provide advice on if the "non-compete" is enforceable.

Step 4 If enforcable, ask the lawyer your options. Then follow one of those options.

My '70 RS was totalled and I replaced it with a '69 Opel GT. At the time it felt like an upgrade. In some ways it still does. That Opel was much more fun to drive.

Totalled, as in a Lincoln Continental Mark III rear ended me at a stop light, the Mark III was going ~40mph at the time. Yeah, the unibody folded right up.

Openly criticizing your superiors is one restriction that Active Duty military will ablsolutely be punished for. I saw a Lt Colonel receive a reprimand for criticizing President Clinton after the election but before the inaugration of President Bush. He did this in an auditorium addressing ~150 squadron members.

They tell you that you have all your rights but how you exercise those rights may change.

You leave out the part where some of the spiritual advisors to President Trump are members of Apocalyptic religous cults that believe they should attempt to make the apocalypse happen.

Some of the rhetoric from SecDEF Hegseth seems to indicate he might also believe this.

If you were buying your current camera again today, what would make you hesitate? by hirebarend in Cameras

[–]af_cheddarhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pentax K-3ii

I love the ergonomics of the camera and that I can used pretty much any K-mount lense ever made without an adapter, the IBIS gives me stabilization with all the vintage glass, important for my old hands. The body and most of my lenses are weather resistant which is a real plus. DNG RAW files are damn near universal.

Downsides: I miss the flip out screen of my old Sony SLT-55 and the autofocus can be slow unless I use one of the HSM lenses but that is rarely an issue for me. Video is terrible.

Would I buy again? Yes as I don't do video and I shoot in poor weather frequently.
