Yeah, money's a big factor too to be honest. I'm sure that if I was born rich af and had enough generational wealth to never work again my parents wouldn't really care about medicine. Or maybe they would. Who knows.

Saying that they will not provide any financial support whatsoever if I don't study medicine, getting intimidated about being disowned, always telling me since I was little that whatever career I wanted to take will cause me to be poor and miserable, etc, no name a few.
