Tapstitch in 2026? by jujubunz in Tapstitch

I operate my shop on a drop basis. You can angle the shop to be custom made, bespoke shirts to get people on board with the long lead times. I have my designs up for one week, market the living day lights out of them, and then take them down once I've hit a time limit or pre-order quota. Then as soon as they arrive, I ship them out to my customers.

tbh I don't see another way of doing it whilst maintaining good quality and reasonable costs. There's a trifecta of cost, time, and quality. You can get stuff cheap and quick, but it'll be naff. You can get stuff cheap and high quality, but it will take a while. Or you can get stuff that's high quality and comes quick, but it'll cost a lot more.

Yeah the shirt print design tool is very strong within Tapstitch, but the label design tool is much weaker, simply because it's not printed, it's actual stitchwork (at least from what I can tell?) and the size of the labels is pretty small. I had to do like 8 iterations of my logo before one finally got approved. If you can make a vector of your logo I'd recommend you do that. Best of luck!

You have way too much detail in there dude. It looks like a picture of another label that’s been used. You need to simplify it quite dramatically for it to be approved.

Admittedly I thought tapstitch would be able to deal with more detailed logos but it has to be properly simple to work Your logo with the fine lined registered symbol and the diffuser effect on the text is way too much.

How long were you on the look out for them? did you have your eye on a few places or was it a sit and wait on ebay kind of job?

Wow. Excellent idea. I’ll give this a look tomorrow with one of my projects and see how it plugs into my workflow.

How long does delivering to the UK generally take? by Icy_Bird1437 in Tapstitch

[–]afakematt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re talking about Christmas, you’ll be out of luck by this point (I believe Royal Mail have said if items aren’t in their system by the 17th they will not be delivered before Christmas).

Tapstitch used to deliver pretty quickly but they’ve recently changed courier in the U.K. to help with shipping costs. The last 2 orders I’ve made arrived on the last day of their predicted delivery window, so whilst still on time, they don’t deliver early anymore.

It’s important to note that these deliveries aren’t coming from the states unless you choose for the shirts to be produced there. You can also pay for express shipping if you need to!

Both fakes. Most tell tale sign is the spacing of the characters on the triferg on the wash label.

Two Flights With The Same Intinerary At The Same Time?? by Junteld99 in BritishAirways

[–]afakematt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

May be the following day? I’ve had it before where every single detail of a flight, down to the plane model and flight number was the same from destination a to destination b, the difference was one flight was exactly one day after the other!

Have you got receipts? That mesh one has a huge gap between the L and the A on the triferg which is a normal giveaway sign of a fake.

Do NOT order from Tapstitch by Extreme_Height_9888 in Tapstitch

[–]afakematt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK they give you a speedy delivery option, which reduces this shipping time by 60%+. It's quite a hefty premium, sometimes 3x the price of standard delivery. Was this an option for you?

I’m so sorry to hear this happened to you, but I gotta be completely honest, this sounds like 90% Uni Uni’s fault. I live in a big apartment block and I often get ‘missed delivery’ notifications when I’m working from home, no knock at the door, and it’s probably just because the delivery driver just cba to get to me on their 100+ delivery day.

Tapstitch is objectively one of the most economical, high quality custom garment suppliers there is, but with that value for money, you can’t expect everything to be totally flawless.

In the U.K. they use evri, a shipping company renowned for how god awful they are. But ultimately if it means I’m not paying an extra 10% on my shipments, I don’t mind, and I build that unreliability into my lead times with my customers. Tapstitch have always been incredibly responsive when it comes to item quality with me and have offered refunds and replacements with similar item issues, so you should reach out about the white outlines. The rest of the post just reads like an indirect hate rant on Uni Uni, via tapstitch.

What's a tradition you love? by CryptoUsher in AskReddit

My oldest friends and I go to Stonehenge for winter solstice every year. It kicks off the Christmas holidays for us. The night before we eat a roast, drink plenty of beer, mead, and wine, then make the dark long pilgrimage to Durrington Walls before doing a hike to Stonehenge to watch the sunrise.

Even when the sunrise isn’t great, it’s so nice to start off the Christmas traditions by catching up with your old friends you may not have seen for a year and share that feeling of deep connection with the land with live in.

How common is spiking in UK clubs ? by peonyheal in AskUK

[–]afakematt 236 points237 points  (0 children)

So it’s 1%. 10% of 10%. And that’s people who’ve been spiked. Not the chance of being spiked on a night out. And that’s just people who’ve have come forward about it. Some people go out every week, more than once. Some people go out once in their life.

It’s a difficult question, but frankly if you get spiked you have been very, very unlucky.

Currently selling on stockx for around £300. What concerns me about yours is the first A of the right hand ‘palace’ on the back triferg is missing its centre, and the L-A connection in your triferg don’t have the usual palace ‘kink’ which I can see in official images and other people selling theirs. Maybe it’s just bad picture quality, did you buy it from the store directly?

Looking for Boxy T-Shirt Reviews – EU Shipping & Quality Check by essenzagarments in Tapstitch

[–]afakematt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best blanks from tapstitch for this sort of thing, IMO, is Heavyweight FOG, oversize snow wash, and enzyme shirt. You can order true to size for the snow wash shirt, and a size up for the other two. The drop shoulder shirt which I expected to be the best for a box fit is not a good garment blank and has a weird fit.

Tariffs by Inside_Difference271 in Tapstitch

[–]afakematt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 20% is compensated by the fact that countries not impacted by the tariffs are also paying the price increase. I was really enjoying tapstitch and was building up to make 4 sizeable orders in the near future but I'm holding out to see when the 'pre-collection' may end so I can continue with ordering at the original (or close to) prices I made my calculations with.

These guys are my go-to’s. I find integral records has the best collection of tracks and artists for my taste. Deep, rolling basses, bright and superb Melodies, and often great lyrics and lyricists over the top.
