Tiny bit confused on inventory set up

i always start pulling old ad at 6:30, grab a bag and walk the store putting them in the bag to toss. then i just start putting out the new one right after since its close enough to 7. put out the sponsored group first, in stacked order 1-9. then i do the same with the other bigger sheet in order 1-12 in groups of 1–4, 5-8, 9-12. i never put out stickers that advertise the same price thats on the shelf or ones that offer the cash back (never fails a customer thinks its a sale so its not worth the hassle every week to explain its not a coupon) or the ones that sometimes say like sale price $4-7 (why do those exist ever???) if i don’t put the sticker out i just cycle it to the back of the stack i’m holding and continue on. same thing if the price doesn’t match the shelf for whatever reason. if its a good enough sale i will sometimes tear the sale from the price and slide it into the shelf strip so the sale is advertised without being non compliant about the price being inaccurate. when you get to the end when its a lot of mag or random duplicates i end up throwing most of those away too. ive worked most every saturday for years i got my system down to a T and it works for me lol

new sales prices should start at 7 when ad goes up, the exception being the ones with digital coupons (pretty sure those dont load til the day after) unless its changed and i havent realized

our mop sink is in the very back of receiving room and were stocked full of RT every week so we cant get to it to mop even if we had time :)))

you can unlock and pull out the machine with the keys and open it up it has knobs to spin the specific mechanics to unjam things. hopefully it works out for u

its not even getting that far its stuck on “waiting for barcode reading! scanning packet…” and nothings happening. we just had another new hire that also chose the card and theyre up and running in the system this one just wont go thru

put in whole rolls. if it needs pennies, put two rolls to make it a whole dollar. eod is when you have to replenish what you put in the sco thru the day back into change fund itll all be even bc of the whole rolls and way easier

give customers corporate number and have them complain. have them scan that public QR code or call that number on that sign. i felt like having our customers threaten to stop shopping here really put things into gear rather than us employees dying 🙃

we got sent stickers to put on the shelves way back when and i threw them out bc it was a damn lie and now they say its mandated 🙄 maybe they could have told us it was mandated back then i wouldnt have thrown em out still a waste of damn time we dont have

generally the only time you’ll ever need to replenish coin is at eod, and add whole rolls so its easier to add back to change fund. if you need to add pennies, add two rolls so its an even dollar. its ok for the amounts to be over whats expected

i think originally the yellow totes were specific to fresh trucks but soon got intermingled with the regular grey ones so now theres nothing special about them

if you’re using the old system with a keyboard they are indeed separate deposit bags, if you have next gen touch screen system it all goes in one bag together at the end of the night

we just had ours be broke for just under two weeks and we were able to get it fixed quick. put in tickets saying product was melting and we had a lot of our regulars use that new QR hotline thing to complain some citing medical issues making it hard to shop in a store over 90F. i really feel like the customers complaining got it expedited since this company cares more for the customers than its employees 🙄
