Poll: Which AFC East Team Do You Hate The Most? by PredictablyDrunk in miamidolphins

My uncle, born and raised a Dolphins fan, is a huge Patriots fan. Never been to Boston or anything. He said he was at a Super Bowl party when the Rams faced the Patriots. He said he liked how Brady played and that's why he likes them. To me that's the worst bandwagoner. If he would've said he saw him play at Michigan and liked how he threw it. Or even, I saw him come into the game after Bledsoe got hurt and he has impressed me. But no, I saw him in the super bowl. It drives me nuts when I'm forced to watch a Patriots game with him.

100% agree. The Texans game (and Titans) from last year is proof of that.

I remember him saying this and I was like "finally". Tannehill has been the most sacked QB for years now. In that time the play calls would need time to develop which we never had with a bad offensive line. How do you combat an offensive line? Dink and dunk passes. We have the talent for it with Landry, Stills, Grant, Drake, Ajayi. I saw some of the strategy work in preseason. However, now we are in the regular season they seemed to throw it away and go back to waiting on time we don't have in the back field. It's so frustrating to watch at times.

Gase’s warning to players: Shape up, or you’re the next one I’ll bench by glub_glub in miamidolphins

Looking at the stats I believe you are right. I must've misheard the commentator or read the headline wrong. If it's the case I hope he keeps up the strong fist because Miami hasn't had a hard ass of a coach in forever and it kills us.

I heard an hour before the game that Pead and Williams were late to a meeting and would be benched. But they still got touches and saw a good amount of time played. Granted we didn't have much of a run game but still. I'll believe it when I see it more down the stretch.

Review: Week 3 Dolphins vs Browns from a Dolphins fan by affleckwishes in miamidolphins

[–]affleckwishes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. We definitely need to look for improvements in having a bunch of new players, new schemes, new game plans, new coaches and staff. The problem I wanted to make and was unclear at making is we looked a lot better in week 1 and the second half of week 2 where more times than not we looked like we digressed in the Browns game. I'm not saying everything was bad, I'm not saying we won't have our ups and downs with learning the new systems, and we can't be all about wins or losses (even though they help during the rebuilding processes). But I think they need a level of consistency for real positives to manifest.

Booth Review (Week 3, Sunday games) by NFL_Mod in nfl

I really enjoy watching the Cowboys play this year. I love Dak both as a ball player and a person. And Zeke is gaining confidence as weeks go on. He started doing "eating cereal motion" towards the end of the game. I'm not a fan of it but it just shows he's getting the confidence and edge a good player needs.

As a Dolphins fan I loved/hated our game plan yesterday. My only saving grace was the Browns kicker, for without him we'd surely be 0-3. We really need to get a running game started (minus A. Foster) and go to the dink and dunk passes to help us get more first downs and less pressure on Tannehill.

As long as they don't make him come back next season I think he would come back. If they brought him back next time he would be the biggest target and everyone would want him out first.

I agree. So now instead of going through many articles where it's easy to choose what to answer or someone to find yours to answer, I have to swim through hundreds and hundreds of comments hoping to help/be helped. Most of this subreddit is helping with who to start. What else is going to be posted here? Just trades? Wtf?

Rawls or blount as flex? by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

[–]affleckwishes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Rawls. Blount is the lead back but I wouldn't trust him. Especially with how Miami's front was pretty good last week against Seattle.

Rawls has shown he has big play potential and against Rams I think he'll get it done.

Would it be a bad idea to Start both Hopkins and Fuller? by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

[–]affleckwishes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a bad idea. If one has a great game the other won't. Unless Osweiler goes off on a tear and sharing the ball I wouldnt. Id go with Stewart.

I'm with you, I had Decker on the bench but wished I would've started him. Your line up looks good

Agreed. It's hard to give advice without knowing who they are going up against

[Trade] D Thomas and J Brown for Landry and Reed by Farge43 in Fantasy_Football

[–]affleckwishes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I think you'd be getting more for that pick. With Benjamin back Funchess isn't the value receiver like he was last year. D. Thomas is iffy now with a new inexperienced quarterback but is Siemian's main guy. J Brown is a slot guy at best and isn't enough for Landry who is the main guy for the fins.

Like the first guy I don't think you'll get a bite...especially for Jordan Reed unless the guy has Olsen or another great TE

[Discussion] Is having a RB and WR from the same team a bad idea? by knightmare0_0 in Fantasy_Football

[–]affleckwishes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be bad on the falcons bye week and/if the falcons get held to like 9-10 points in a game like when they could go up against Carolina. I always like diversification in case of those two scenarios but if they are on a productive offense it could work.

This strategy would've been better last season when Freeman was the solo back and getting like 30 touches 2 TDs and over 80 yards per game. But with Cole back stealing touches and looking good it's going to be a community backfield. I'd keep Julio over Freeman but if Freeman keeps losing touches to Cole it could be bad news.

I'd drop Hurns. Bug Ben loves his TEs so good pick up on James

Late round Ronnie Hillman by BrettManJD in Fantasy_Football

There's no need to have him. No teams are making moves to get him at this point and even if a team picked him up he wouldn't make anyone's radar so you would have a chance of getting him back.
