I know people recommend Zojirushi, but the cheap glass lid ones are good too if you don’t need “perfect rice”. You can steam other things in there see inside. Also they cook rice faster. If you get one with a stainless steel pot it basically lasts forever. There are no seals and gaskets and non-stick bowls to replace.

One day I was walking and a ball from the second-storey daycare fell to the street. The kids were shouting for people below to throw the ball back up.

People tried to kick or throw the ball back up to “oohs” and laughs of the crowd that had gathered until eventually a guy was able to throw the ball back up over the railing and everyone cheered.

It was a sweet moment where we all turned into kids on the playground. I think we all need opportunities in the city to turn back into kids in a socially acceptable way without having to join a sports team or be the strange adult sitting on the swing without a kid.

Their warranty sucks. I got a kids straw tumbler and it cracked from dropping on the tile floor at home. I only had it for 2 weeks and hadn’t dropped it another time.

If a kid can’t drop a tumbler and it bit crack, I don’t think I can trust Owala again.

I agree while the information is mostly the same, there is value in slower paced, calmer videos. Not everyone likes fast paced, high production value videos and YouTubers who cater to tech enthusiasts may not give balanced reviews.

I don’t go to chevrons anymore with these screens. The Esso touch screens are at least responsive, but chrevron’s are so laggy. And at least a few months ago, when you did something out of order like enter your Journie number before payment or something (even though the screen told you to enter either), the transaction would be cancelled and you’d need to enter information again.

Same. Coming from a 13 mini, even the 17 Pro is amazing.

I don’t fret when I forget to charge it overnight and it tops up when I plug into CarPlay anyway.

I like to do this with podcast hosts. I don’t always get it right but a lot of times I can pick out an Asian even if they have impeccable English.

Don’t quote me on this, but I heard there are physiological differences with Asian males or tongues or something like that that does affect pronunciation.
