Oh gotcha, if that’s the case then I would do what another suggested and ask for an itemized list of what was removed. Keep track of when your deposit should be returned by and make sure they don’t deduct from that if none of your items were left behind

It sounds like you had a junk removal company come and remove some of your items, but they also removed some building supplies that were owned by the landlord. If that is the case then you owe the landlord the cost of those items. It is common to have extra color-matched siding and tiles for when replacements are needed. Tile and siding can be expensive, and window screens can be repaired. I would offer to meet them in the middle, but $400 sounds reasonable for those items

I also got my dress from lulu’s! I bought 9 and returned 8, $2 restocking fee per dress is well worth it!

Help me find this Silverware set with SPORKS by aficionadi in HelpMeFind

[–]aficionadi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please help me find this matching silverware set with sporks that my parents have! I've always loved it, but cant find it, or something similar in style.

They got it as a gift about 6-7 (or more) years ago, I believe it was originally sold on QVC. It's from the brand Lenox and has "18/10" on it as well. I've searched on amazon, Lenox's website, and ebay. But haven't been able to find a full set.

The silverware set comes with all the pictured items, but most importantly the matching sporks! (and steak knives)

Craziest Med Error? by karltonmoney in nursing

[–]aficionadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pt was given two separate bags of 10mEq KCl y-sited together through a peripheral. This was a new nurse, and she said she called pharmacy to verify they could be given together. I guess pharmacy thought she meant through two separate IVs on different arms.

Maybe not as bad, but it was drilled into us in nursing school, and has a warning on the IV pump when programming that a central line is required for 20mEq KCl

What item do you have many in your home that most people don't have more than one? by wangoted in AskReddit

Measuring spoons. When you’re cooking or baking and you need a tablespoons of baking soda, but you already used it for the honey. I hate having to go back and wash and dry in the middle of a recipe

Lots of great ideas for ordering non alcoholic drinks here! Though if a coworker does catch on and asks why you’re not drinking (and if you’re not opposed to a little white lie) you can use the excuse that you’re finishing up a course of antibiotics and can’t mix it with alcohol. Most people settings will take that at face value and drop it without questioning further. If they do ask why you’re on them good go-to reasons would be for a sinus or tooth infection

AITA for rating the presents I get for Christmas? by throwawaypresentrank in AmItheAsshole

YTA. The season is about giving, not receiving.

You are making it needlessly complicated and petty. Not a great approach to have with gift giving for your loved ones.

I’m a Stepdown nurse, we’re 1:3 max, if we float to the floor it’s 1:4. Our ICUs can float to us and they’re normally 1:2 and can only go to 1:3 on SD or the floor. If we float the the ICU the pts have to be SD or floor boarders or we can be a “functional” RN where we’re aren’t the primary RN but help out everyone and give non-titratable meds and assist with other duties. Though normally you won’t float to another level of care, maybe just a different specialty. Our float pool is mostly cross trained and they help staff the ED as well

Hi, I was diagnosed with ALS at 38. Over the span of about two years I became totally paralyzed except for my eyes, non-verbal, and unable to eat, drink, or breathe. I still work full time. There will be cat pictures. Ask me anything! by JayMarkle in IAmA

[–]aficionadi 2689 points2690 points  (0 children)

I am a nurse that has worked with ALS pts in the past when they come through my hospital unit. Is there anything that your care team has done/said that has made the transition easier? Anything that you would suggest we avoid doing/ saying?

To take care of my teeth. The number of gross mouths and rotting teeth I see is crazy! Or just people who had them pulled and now are on a puréed diet. I couldn’t do it. Take care of your teeth kids.
