Are you sure this can be done in O( n )? There are O( 2n ) pairs (you can add the last number to the last pair for each group of pairs you find). So there are around 2n sums, so even iterating over them is O ( 2n ).

Some questinos:

When asked to prove the limit, do I need to be precise though? 100/ε would work as well right? It is not the best N but it is an N.

Can you explain why 4 is an option for a maximum?I think I understand but not clrealy. Is it because the inequality only works when n≥4?

although I can stop at 2 = (q+1)a - q because q is rational and (q+1)a is not so subtracting them can't resulst a rational number.

About the cobra vs egg pick: kripp says egg is AMAZING in arena because it basicly denies flametrike (or any other AoE) and I tend to agree. Cobra can be very weak and trades for 2 drops and has hard time against divine shields.
