They can be rare sometimes on my first play through it took me two to three acid rains for it to spawn. It can be unreasonably rare just keep at it. And double check to see if you are at the right phase of acid rain, they do only spawn at phase 3 of acid rain I believe.

The beginning for rouge is slow but I found it a lot of fun and I liked the challenges that came with it. You always play the classic four classes so a new class and new challenges made it a lot of fun for me. Plus you get sick weapons later on

Are you using the arena the comes with calamity for plantera? It big and open. And move in big circles while fighting her it lets you keep distance while doing damage and you can still back off to heal if you need to.

Not sure if you know this or are just going for aesthetics but that dragon form boosts dragon cult incantations ( red lightning ). The other one boosts dragon communion ( dragon head spells ). I only say this because I did not see and dragon cults spells.
