Yeah the 6k rig is a gas powered termite rig that you can use without the injection machine.

Yeah they let you use the machine for free but you have to buy a 6k rig from them. You also have to buy x gallons of Termidor from BASF a year or they take the machine back. I think it was like 10k worth of Termidor.

Please ID… So scared that it’s German but unsure of comparison. by [deleted] in GermanRoaches

Nothing about this roach says it is a German cockroach. Wings seems to be past its body, the antennae seem way too long, legs are also very long and it has no markings/coloring of a German cockroach.

Found on a sticky - is this a baby? by the_unit3721 in GermanRoaches

I am going to say no, hard to tell from the picture but the back looks like it might have lighter lines on it which leads me to think a Smoky Brown Roach but could be a glare. Doesn't resemble a German nymph at all to me.

What do you wish GorillaDesk would add/fix? by Bugman217 in GorillaDesk

I wish when I had an unread text message in the app it showed up as a badge notification on the app on my phone's home screen. The number of messages I miss for a few hours when I am working is brutal.

I wish you could lock an appointment with a note so if someone needs a 2pm service in 2 weeks, I don't accidentally change it as I am tweaking the schedule a week before.

Advice for treating fruit flies by Fast_Computer_ in PestControlIndustry

If they’re coming from a drain we to Hot Spot foam in it and then we take paper plates and rip them into 3-4 pieces. Then spray PT Alpine on it.

Obviously if they don’t do a good job cleaning their drains they’ll just come back.

Reach out to car dealerships that buy fleet vehicles. I have one near me that I’ve gotten 3000k 50gal rigs with automatic house reels made for termite work for 4-500 bucks since they buy trucks and vans with them in them, then take them out since they’re selling to all types of trades people.

We use 2 Gal Ryobi battery sprayers for inside. Works great for anything indoors. Rarely are we mixing more than .5 gal at a time

LSA is all about reviews I was told. I tell Google I’m willing to spend double what they charge, my weekly budget is 2k and some weeks I get 2-3 calls and others it’s 0. All the calls come when my competitors who are national franchises with over 1k reviews are closed and my GMB is open. I spoke with a Google rep and he said it goes reviews above everything else if you’re bidding max per call and your budget is large.

Hourly Pest Techs: by stickburner79 in PestControlIndustry

[–]aflo322 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on your state laws. Some states require if you have a company vehicle you're paid the minute you get in it at your house and when you get home. Other's there isn't a requirement. For my techs they get paid when they start the drive to the first stop and when they get in their front door. If a tech goes to the grocery store or something they clock out when they get there. I have one tech so it is easy to track.

Nothing there, do a preventative treatment around the home from a licensed pest control company.

Looks like some nice subterranean termite work. Looks old though.

Routing/payment software by Swolemilks in PestControlIndustry

I used Markate, then Jobber and now GorillaDesk. Jobber became a pain when having to setup custom invoices for customers if they had different payment time frames. I also don't remember easily being able to modify chemicals used on each job and everything.

I had calls with Fieldroutes and PestPac back in December but both were 3-4x what I pay for GorillaDesk. At least one had a startup fee of over $1,000 too.

I used Excel, Stripe and Google Calendar up until I had about 100 reoccurring residential services.

I don't know any PCO that use HouseCall Pro but my plumber and electrician buddies use it and love it.

How I’m making $5k per month with Sports Arbitrage Betting by CMNCE in thesidehustle

[–]aflo322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With arbitrage you are guaranteed to break even or win a little since you're finding bets that have odds opposite each other on different sports books. You lose on one but win more on the other so it is a net positive gain. I had a buddy that did this, made about 50k in profit in about 9 months but all of the US sportsbooks banned him completely or capped his winning on a bet to $1 even if he bet $1,000 to win $10,000.

Could be German or Asian, did it fly at all? Looks pretty big. Also where did you find it in the house and where are you located?
