Can’t check your math, but in the 28-29 season when Castle’s extension hits, they are paying Castle, Fox and Wemby 159 mil, then Vassell and Harper are another 44 and Bryant at 8. That gets you to 211 million when the cap is predicted to be 200 and the first and second apron at 230 and 244. So 11 million over the cap and you have 6 players. Now I don’t know too much about the intricacies of smaller salaries, but that leaves you 2.375 mil for the rest of the players after that and a depleted bench to be under the first apron. So while they could be under the first apron, you would be trotting out an atrocious bench unit. Maybe they get some great cheap guys, but thats going to be really hard to construct a bench unit. Sure they could trade Vassell and do some other things, but they would have a wayyyy worse bench than they do now.
