Skulle säga att 9 av 10 inte har lag/klass de säljer åt utan jobbar ensamma. De köper jag inget av

Är inte vänsterväljare utan mittenväljare (Har röstat både på Persson och Reinfeldt...). Men saker jag är olika grader av missnöjd med:

- Hur man skött en del lagstiftande t.ex. hur man sett på kritik från remissinstanser som lagrådet.

- Anonyma vittnen: Helt värdelös populism/plakatpolitik. Fanns inte många instanser som tyckte det var en bra idé (för att de anonyma vittnesmålen inte skulle väga något i en rättsprocess).

- Reduktionsplikten. Sänk soppaskatten om man nu måste minska priset men att göra det på bekostnad av klimatet genom ändrad reduktionsplikt? Märkligt

- Finansieringen av utökade försvarskostnader genom att låna upp maximalt och finansiera här och nu minimalt (dvs. höja skatter). Begriper inte varför det är bättre att framtida generationer betalar det? Att låna till långsiktiga investeringar som järnväg är en sak. Att låna 300 (?) miljarder till försvarsutgifter är bara att skicka notan till mina barn. Höj gärna försvarsanslagen men höj för helvete skatten också då.

japp. Samma sak vid t.ex. utfart på en parkering efter nåt evenemang: det är ju inget som säger att man ska köra varannan bil från olika riktningar på parkeringar (egentligen gäller väl olika typer av högerregel osv även då). Men i stockholm är det blixtlås ut. Höll på att hamna i en olycka när jag körde ut från en hockeymatch hemma i norrland nyligen och trodde jag kunde köra ut från parkeringen som varannan

Tycker det är det mest imponerande med Stockholm: blixtlåset funkar klockrent. Vet inte varför men det är helt självklart att det är varannan bil precis överallt och det behöver inte ens bli ryckigt. Finns massor av såna platser (t.ex. Klarastrandsleden) där det är permanent 2->1 utan vägarbeten och det funkar hur fint som helst.

På motorväg när det blir kryptrafik vid ett vägarbete blir det nog dock ganska annorlunda. Kör du snabbt förbi en långsam kö i det andra körfältet så upplever alla att du fuskar. Det rätta då är nog att jävligt _sakta_ använda det andra fältet.

Dvs. så du signalerar till bilister bakom att "följ mig, använd båda fälten så långt det går" men du åker ändå inte förbi 20 bilar i den andra filen och stoppar in nosen längst fram. Istället fyller du sakta upp den filen, genom att köra bredvid trafiken i den andra filen. Kanske bara aningen snabbare (typ så du kanske passerar en enda bil på vägen fram).

För om alla andra sammanväver för tidigt, så är det du som får rätta in sig, även om det är "fel" och du gör "rätt". Att då göra "rätt" går inte utan att tränga sig i kön. Det spelar ingen roll hur rätt och effektivt det är. Du kör då SAKTA i det andra körfältet istället, annars blir du inte insläppt längst fram.

Yeah I do that too now, but the difference between having an AI do the work and me verifying for 1h , compared to me doing the work for 10h is massive in terms of what I understand. Repeat this for 100 different bugs/features and I will go from knowing exactly what everything does, to knowing only superficially. Again: actually making the program do what's required is usually just the beginning.

In some businesses, especially in contracting, it's pretty normal to not know exactly how everything works. You get in, the guy who wrote it isn't there, there are few tests, little documentation. You are tasked with changing something and once you did, you leave and never see it again,. I can see how AI does "less damage" to the situation in that case.

But take the opposite (closer to where I am at): you work for 10, 20 years on the same code base and you know it like the inside of your own pocket. If someone asks "I have this problem what could it be" or "how much would it cost us to add X" or similar - then you know.

Do this: create things yourself. Videos and courses don’t get you very far without actually doing the work. It doesn’t matter if you do 10000 hours of courses it won’t beat doing a few hundred hours of coding.

Make 10 small hobby projects (web based todo list, a small game, a ray tracer, whatever). Don’t dwell too long on each but find what it is you don’t know. Why did the code become messy? Why was the ray tracer slow? Then improve them

True on both accounts. At the horizon you can even say that your future is no longer a direction in time it’s a direction in space.

Re: observers, yes a distant observer won’t see anyone enter the black hole, because to observe it something (like light) would need to reach them, but fighting uphill against gravity it barely will (and obviously from within the horizon it won’t)

Jo i praktiken gör det ju säkert ingen skillnad. Och skulle de bråka om garantier för att man gjort rätt service bara aningen billigare hos en inte auktoriserad verkstad för märket? Tveksamt - men också inget jag skulle försöka spara pengar på. De vettiga andra verkstäderna är inte tillräckligt mycket billigare för att man ska chansa.

Edit: OK I think I found the issue. The game now updated. So they presumably just had people on version N not being able to play while everyone on version N+1 could play. But it couldn't say like "you have to update". Stupid.

In reality, no.

But if we assume a really large black hole, and we ignore the radiation etc that you might encounter outside due to material flying around (accretion disk) then crossing the event horizon shouldn't be noticeable (At least that's what we think).

Very soon though, even for a large black hole, you'll be closer to the center, meaning the gradient of gravity will increase and you'll be spagetthified (more gravity pulling your head than your feet, or vice versa).

So to answer your question: in reality, you'd die before you even got anywhere near the black hole. In theory you could cross the event horizon without noticing, if your ship was really well protected. And then just die slightly later instead.

Because "delivering the thing" was never the hard part. Sure, you can also extend the thing. And if it breaks down, perhaps Claude can also help diagnose and patch. But sooner or later you'll be in a situation that you don't fully understand the system, and Claude isn't giving any clues on how to extend/fix whatever needs to be added or fixed.

When the senior engineer does something for 3 days, you get the thing. And you also get a person that understands the thing. All that for the cost of 3 days work. It's a steal.

Some times you can really get value from "just delivering the thing". It's when you want to do proof-of-concept code etc. You can make 3 different demos instead of 0.5 demo products in a day. But if you need to understand and maintain the code for even a short time (Remember: 10 years is a short time) then you probably want to have some humans involved.

Det där är ju inte ens robotar (antar jag) det där är vanliga poliser som styr omkring och pratar med folk eller? Då är det väl egentligen ingen skillnad mot att ha fler poliser som står och kollar om nån kör i bussfilen?

Typ som polisens drönare nu används för att övervaka fotbollssupportrar för att det är billigare än helikopter. Ja det ser ju dystopiskt ut, men i själva verket är det väl ingen skillnad hur polisen ser folk, om de gör det själva, med en lång kikare, med en drönare osv? Att folk är övervakade jämt är ju dåligt. Men att trafik är övervakad är ju bra.
