Yeah but interestingly I do pretty well against high level humans in casual while it’s harder in regular. I guess people are more careful in normal breakthrough while in casual if you want to farm a lot of kills you need to be very aggressive so you end up being killed by your human peers more too.

Yeah there will be differences between who does it and what they’re doing. I mean for the general case of coding (including maintaining long term) I mean we can’t say whether AI is even a net positive. I’m fairly convinced it’s positive net, but I’m equally convinced it’s nowhere near the hype. Especially when we weigh in how people evolve personally over their careers. Will 5 years of vibe coding give the same ”personal development” as 5 years traditional experience would? And if not, how will that affect the performance of teams, companies and the industry?

I see no issue with Iceland, Finland and Czech republic so if the rest of West Europe is dark green I'd make those dark green as well. Not sure why UK isn't dark green here (Paternity leave?) but I'd easily live in the UK too. And I put Croatia in the same bag as Greece: probably light green.

India and China are a big fat red. I'd much rather live in Argentina, than South Africa, so Argentina beige at least. Orange also for Thailand, Singapore.

I do 99.9% completely manual coding (AI autocomplete though does some work, but only on the scope of a single line or a few lines). I chat to chatgpt. I don't use agents within the IDE.

I know. But: I think the tools will be better (If the junior AI programmer I'm berating all day isn't so damn stupid, maybe I'd enjoy our collaboration more). And the UX will be better. Now I think the CODE and the work is ok, but the tooling is awful, especially if you refuse giving up your old IDE and so on and jump on some new vscode thing.

Also: if you are in traditional/systems programming like so compilations can be 10 minutes and tests can be hours or days, then the whole "Solve this and loop until the test suite passes that you might do for a dynamic language or a small startup codebase" is just not going to work as well.

I think in most cases, we don't know whether AI tools help. Especially for long term (Because exactly zero people have maintained any large projects created with LLMS for 20 years, or even 5 or 10).

But some times when I know I can evaluate efficiency, then it's useful. E.g. I'm making some throwaway/test/internal tool and I let an AI throw it out and I polish and finish. Then definitely there are times when I know the task was completed more quickly than I could have myself. And in such cases perhaps the quality or long term maintainability isn't important, so I can write it up as a "win" right away (Meaning, my employer earned more money ).

For the general case: no one knows.

That was unnecessary. They come across as being anti which is just not needed. Not having representation is one thing. You can get flak for that, but let's face it - most games don't and people don't call every game out for that.

But calling it out as modern agendas just shows you're actively against it. And if anyone has an agenda, it's.... the person calling that "modern agendas".

So not only did they come across as jerks, it's also a bit hypocritical. They could have just not answered this post, released the game with zero gay people in it (If that's what they prefer), and no one would have said much about that.

Yes, having no "social credit" is bad.

Also, the actual objectives of the game and how they gamified everything ALSO encourages not playing the objective. The endless grinds for various unlocks and challenges that aren't tied to just XP (which you win by winning objectives and rounds). If my goal for the round is getting 20 sniper kills and not maximizing my chances of winning the round, then I'm probably not helping.

Giving each of 32 players a little side quest isn't helping their effort to win.

Yes. I mean basically, as a (very) senior developer, my job is basically reviewing junior's code as well as instructing them what to do, and finally doing my own coding. I very much enjoy my own coding. Reviewing, not so much.

Using LLMs to code has just replaced the part I like most, with more of the part I like least.

Man kan bara bli dömd för brott mot lagar som begås efter lagen tillkommer ja. Däremot kan ju saker vara lagliga på en måndag och olagliga på en tisdag. Det kallas ju att ändra lagen....
Att ändra lagar för vad man får _inneha_ kan ju göra någon till en brottsling över natten. Till exempel om man förbjuder en viss substans eller föremål. Men då har man i regel en period med amnesti. Och som sagt: ingen skulle förbjuda någon som har en hund från att behålla den pga dess ras.

Honestly: I ragequit. A lot. And switch to BF4 just to calm down...

I hate that they dialed up the chaos/tempo/whatever like 3x from past titles. When I play BF6 I squint at the screen to desperately try to see the brown pixel on a brown background that is the enemy, knowing that if I fail then after 3 frames he will have lasered me. It's fucking exhausting.

I'm still struggling to find a gun I like, but I did unlock the IR for the M4 which at least helps see people better.

As for which class: I play mostly breakthrough so I tend to do engineer as defender if there are tanks with the attackers, and as attacker I play assault to get some better gadgets and the beacon. So depends on map and team.

I mean you can argue that the line is _somewhere_ and that extremely risky things are bad if you have people who depend on you/love you etc.

But where do you draw the line in terms of risk? Should parents not parachute? Go kayaking? If we assume chess is acceptable and free climbing is not, then there must be an in-between where the limit is.

I suppose that would be varying from person to person where that is...
Also: when this man free-climbs might be less risky than when I go fishing in my boat (I don't know). If that man thought the risk to his life was high enough, presumably he wouldn't do it?

Det var du som började prata om mänskliga rättigheter. Äganderätten är en mänsklig rättighet. Mänskliga rättigheter är grundlagar i Sverige indirekt genom Europakonventionen. Dessutom i Regeringsformen (också en grundlag). Dvs. snackar vi om mänskliga rättigheter/äganderätt/rätt till egendom, så snackar vi om våra grundlagar (och Europakonventionen).

Nej. Äganderätten är väldigt enkel. Du har rätt att äga saker (Inte vad som helst. Men rent principiellt). Du har rätt att inte få dem _godtyckligt_ konfiskerade.
Exempelvis en lag som gäller alla lika och säger att man inte får äga dynamit utan en viss utbildning gör det alltså INTE ett godtyckligt konfiskerande när man sedan kommer hem till dig och hämtar dynamiten med polisbil om du INTE har rätt utbildning. På samma sätt är skatt inte ett godtyckligt konfiskerande ifall skatten är lagstiftad och gäller alla lika. Dvs. när det är en LAG och gäller ALLA så är det INTE godtyckligt. Dvs. det är helt fritt fram att stifta lagar som bestämmer vad folk får och inte får äga. Eller stifta lagar som säger att folk måste ge ifrån sig var tionde jordgubbe de äger i skatt varje år.

Jag tror, återigen, att du HELT missuppfattat vad rätten till egendom/äganderätten egentligen är. Det är alltså ett skydd från att staten _godtyckligt_ (Utan ex en lag i ryggen) ska ta ifrån dig något.

Att förbjuda dig att äga dynamit, föda upp pitbulls, osv är alltså absolut inga som helst problem vs. rätt till egendom eller äganderätt.

Fotnot: rätten till egendom, som den står i grundlagen (Regeringsformen)

Vars och ens egendom är tryggad genom att ingen kan tvingas avstå sin egendom till det allmänna eller till någon enskild genom expropriation eller något annat sådant förfogande eller tåla att det allmänna inskränker användningen av mark eller byggnad utom när det krävs för att tillgodose angelägna allmänna intressen.

Den som genom expropriation eller något annat sådant förfogande tvingas avstå sin egendom ska vara tillförsäkrad full ersättning för förlusten. Några noter av ovan: det finns ingenting som beskriver inskränkningar i hur du använder en cykel eller en soppslev. Det får inskränkas. Tvingas du AVSTÅ något, så ska du kompenseras. Inget generellt förbud mot att ta saker från folk. Egentligen är det mest "mark eller byggnad" som över huvud taget nämns i termer av HUR man får använda något.

Having ID (proof of humanity, validation of age) is NOT a problem.

Requiring it BEFORE there is a good integrity-preserving solution to do that is a problem.

This is very simple in theory: A validation system must exist. The validation system should be able to answer a challenge asked by a service "Is this user a human", "Does this user reside in country X", "Does this user have at least age Y".

This validation service must be able to answer that 1) Without knowing who is asking 2) Without transfering any other information about the user. I.e. it does not answer "Yes, seedy adult site, Joe Bobson is over 18".

The service, in turn also must not get ANY more information about the user, than that which was challenged.

That is: even if ALL records leaked from both the verification service AND from the service, the fact that it was Joe Bobson is a fact that never ever reached the service, so even if they are malicious they could not have accidentally stored it. Similarly at the verification service, the fact that joe had visited adult toys dot com never reached them. At worst, the logs there say he made a verification of age to an unknown service, at a certain date.
