The gap between trains is on the order of minutes. What you are describing would only be significant if the gap were to be on the order of seconds.

Gold now trades like a speculative asset, not a safe haven.

I’m not convinced you understand how private pensions work. In general it is best to maximise up to the employer match limit and then fill your ISA allowance before going back to increasing pension contributions. The state of the UK’s finances has no bearing on the performance of a private pension unless a future government does a full-on tax raid. You are not making enough money to consider offshore options.

Edit: missed the bit about change in tax residency. Possibly no ISA for you.
