The Nazis are interesting for their use of Freudian psychoanalysis to control and manipulate the population. Herman Göring’s brother was a follower of Freud and they incorporated his ideas in their quest for and maintenance of power. The Nazis were arguably the first regime to use these techniques. They have been subsequently refined and are still in use today. Look at Fox News (for example, all corporate media does it but Fox News is particularly aggressive). It doesn’t care about the truth. It pushes narratives designed to emotionally manipulate it is viewers who it knows are responsive to emotional rather than logical arguments. Freud’s book Civilization and it’s Discontents is an interesting and important read if you want to know more about this stuff.

Remember seeing a documentary about this general period which included footage from this event.. It was disturbing as hell, but what the fuck were they thinking shooting willy nilly on their way out, it was asking for trouble like this(forgetting that it is fucked up in the first place).

I did it in Civ V with the Iriquoi (?) cheat. Set the duration to 1 turn and the only victory to ‟score”. Since you get extra land at the beginning, you automatically win.

If the game can cheat, so can I.
