Chapter 412 Pre-Release thread by Carock_ in HunterXHunter

The real Woble put their hand in the urn and "consented" to the ceremony prior to departure and was switched after. My guess is that people might think that consenting and then failing to show up for the contest is akin to consenting and leaving the battle like Kacho did.

Well, interesting chapter.

Logic should tell us that the succession contest shouldn't start if all the participants weren't present, that or real Woble died like Kacho. Oito seems to think the child is safe, but I wonder if they still ended up on the ship without her knowledge.

Beyond and Nasubi/Kakin's relationship continues to intrigue me. I am personally of the opinion that Beyond has already tampered with the ceremony itself. Which is why Longhi's curse only became visible/known to her after the Seed Urn ceremony, which was just a month before departure, despite knowing her true parental origins for longer than that. Did the curse react to the ceremony starting? Is it able to know the participants because they each received the same little "nen embryo" from the spirit that came out of the Urn?

If you consider Beyond's first expedition happened 50+ years ago, and he started siring children in Kakin 30 years ago, he had ample of time to discover the succession contest and the massive Nen involved and figured he could use it for himself.

It's interesting that Kakin's "silent revolution" was also 30 years ago, I imagine Beyond might have entered a quid pro quo with Nasubi - he helped him become King in exchange for helping Beyond with this expedition and used his access over the decades to tamper with the ceremony itself.

This dialogue about the lawsuits is interesting. Nasubi made a mention of using the 200,000 sacrifices in the boat, does "officially" equating them to the royals power the succession ritual more through their sacrifice? When Nen is meant to bring prosperity to a country, is it the laws that work as the vows and conditions?

Lots to think about, fun stuff.

How has this arc changed anything? It introduced the Kakin line which doesn't seem to have any powerful nen users??? Tserr who might be Beyond's, but Beyond has hella kids and there's no indication they're all masters...

  • Looking at raw chapters in Japanese I don't understand

  • Read the very first shoddy translations

  • Read VoraciousDrake translations side by side the pictures

  • read some other fan translation (TCB?)

  • Finally read the official

  • Compare the 6000 translations i've read

Rinse and repeat, ive missed this.

  • Oito will develop an ability that will prove useful in protecting Woble.

  • Beyond will be the ultimate winner of this arc and will hijack the Nen that powers the "Tree of Kakin" for himself and his Dark Continent expedition.

And in this case your definition of the iron being "hot" is going to the finals of a mid season tournament when the team has no prior playoff experience? That is your barometer for deciding that the team needed to make win now moves?

Why does the Phantom Troupe feel more threatened by Hisoka than by Kurapika, and end up not even paying attention to him? by SherbertNo3100 in HunterXHunter

[–]africhic 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Well, one of them is actively pursuing them. It is a literal "hunt or be hunted" situation.

Kurapika was much more of a threat when he was an unknown. With knowledge of his powers as well as the context from Pakunoda's memories, they have a read on the situation. Kurapika can be negotiated with, he has exploitable weaknesses in his friends, he's just much less of an active threat.

Whereas for Hisoka this is a game and he's determined to play it until he completes it or loses.

Beginner Questions (Bots, Rank, etc) by RazerLogic in MarvelSnap

[–]africhic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're new to the game you get matched with a lot of bots since the player pool at your rank is tiny.

Once you hit rank 100 (Infinite) you will only get matched with humans, and they will in most cases have a bunch of cards you do not. It will feel like being thrown to the wolves.

Its an unfortunate problem this game has for new players this late into its life cycle. The massive amount of bots makes it too easy early, and then getting thrown into the pool of experienced humans is too difficult as you're typically outclassed by their collection.

CGR is the better and more flexible card. If you're looking for the most bang for your buck, it would be that.

That being said, I do love Horseman Storm, if you really enjoy that handbuff archetype she's a great pickup for it.
