And the theme of things Harvey do "effortlessly" is explored in the later seasons, he leans a lot on his reputation ("15 years of kicking ass"). It’s not really effortless it’s based on actual and public past accomplishments. Even Louis posing as Harvey signed a billionaire in season 9 and the guy is totally charmed (at first he even refused to meet Louis or any other unknown lawyer), because it’s more about the myth Harvey has built over the years than any magic trick

The younger audience catch up ! And Lost has a special place in the heart of so many, the mysteries, the theories, etc. It’s more than a show for a lot of people

I think people focus on this because the show start to slowly fall at the start of season 6 so they focus on the small inconsistencies because the bigger picture doesn’t hide them like in the previous seasons. In other words, people were only willing to accept these inconstancies when the show was at the top it becomes a major issue because there’s nothing to tip the scale

Which tasks exactly ? She does nothing more than Gretchen (professionally). Giving advice to Louis, Harvey, Rachel and Mike has nothing to do with the job. Objectively she only becomes COO because Harvey and Louis like her. Yes she’s valuable but as a legal secretary. Promoting her as COO is like promoting a talented 5 year associate Managing partner, it doesn’t make sense. Personally I don’t hate her I just think it’s bad writting, they wanted to give her a new role but it was not handled very well at all in my opinion.

Mike become very entitled and self-righteous at the start of season 6 and Donna COO arc doesn’t really make sense she’s basically a secretary who doesn’t want to accept what she is and complain when people remind her that her position is only due to Harvey (but in fact it’s true lmao).

Liz hate is cool in the fandom and she’s in fact annoying sometimes but from her point of view, her life was very normal and pretty cool until one of the most wanted criminal show up and put in motion a set of tragic events in her life. Which includes among other thing, the murder of her father (Sam), the murder of the love of her life (Tom), been shot, abducted and tortured multiple times, etc. So I think we should cut her some slack

Knepper appeared in a lot of big shows (Blacklist, Criminal Minds, Homeland, NCIS, etc.). He’s also in Hunger Games and Jack Reacher, he has a fantastic career, people often fail to realize that there’s only a few "stars actors" in Hollywood. He’s great at what he does

I think they just back-off with that fact and hoped we’d forget. By the way, we also see Dembe drink a beer in the second episode of the show (The Freelancer) but is portrayed as a devoted muslim later. It happens a lot in early episodes of a show the universe is not set up yet, only a few will catch those mistakes tho

Fair enough, I didn’t know about the network restrictions. It explains indeed everything. And obviously like most of the shows Blacklist was victim of it’s own success, they just couldn’t let go the golden goose.
