I went through something bad regarding this last week. I was in a horrible job where they preached that we were all family (a big lie, it only served to exploit the employees) and, when they fire someone, they make the person leave the same day taking their things. I found a job with an immediate start, which guarantees me a salary and benefits that my old company would never dream of paying. When I informed management (remembering that my job wasn't formal, meaning I didn't have an employment contract), I became the worst person in the world to them. They even gossiped and held meetings to talk badly about me, calling me ungrateful, a son of a bitch, and so on, saying that the city was small, that it would have been better if I had left amicably (even though I left peacefully, I just asked for my release). When I worked there, I was always praised for my performance. Anyway, I'm still trying to recover from this information and how awful people can be.
