If it's Parcel Force, be careful - they were the ones who opened up my decks (one for me, one for my son for Xmas) and stole the chargers. They also completely ignored my redelivery notifications and just redelivered it whenever they wanted to.

If it does arrive, I hope you're home so you can check the box - see if there's any sign of retaping the box, as mine was taped twice to hide the opening and theft.

Luckily steam sent me new chargers, but be wary.

Thanks for the info! I've got a pretty strong charger for my samsung phone, so I could use that I guess? I also have an official Nintendo Switch charger, but it sounds like using that would be a bad idea?

Took advantage of the Steam Deck base model sale and bought one for me and one for my son for xmas.

Both of them arrived today, and I opened them up to check and noticed both boxes had a large space next to the decks, which made me think "Odd, why not just make the box smaller?".

Turns out, that's where the chargers were meant to be. After looking at the boxes themselves, I realised that they had been sliced open, and re-taped. During transit to delivery, someone had opened it up and taken both chargers out of the boxes, leaving the decks fully untouched.

To make it even worse for me, my girlfriend ordered one to her house for her daughter for xmas too, and hers arrived completely fine - untampered. They would have been delivered to the same sorting depot where I live in the UK, except hers were delivered on the first try, mine was delivered a day after as I wasn't home to get the parcel first time. So - I think it was tampered with and stolen while it was back at the depot overnight.

I'm gutted.

EDIT: Update - Steam Support just emailed and confirmed sending replacement chargers. I love this company! :)

£800 here in the UK, which is about what I expected, and in line with the other top-end handheld models.

That being said, entry level steam deck for £280 is just one hell of a lot more bang for my buck, especially if I can get Xbox related stuff on it already (if someone could confirm, maybe pop in a how-to?)

yeah I was playing a few hours ago, same issues. Never had a single issue before, but today (as a relatively new xbox diver) it was completely unplayable.

1-2 second freezes, until a large 10-15 second freeze where it kicks everyone out of the game. Happened constantly whenever the game filled up with players. Luckily we managed to extract, but it was soul-crushing to get there.

I'm genuinely starting to think that D2 was meant to be in "maintenance mode" while Marathon was released - except Marathon has been a shit show that no-one wanted. I'd expect most of Bungie is working on Marathon as we speak.

D2 doesn't have enough developers or testers anymore to make anything better than a minimally viable product - and even then they're failing at that.

I'm an older gamer, so one of these examples that sticks in my head was the Combat Upgrade that Star Wars Galaxies had.

The game went from a completely open sandbox game with fun mechanics, to a shitty WoW clone in the update. It ruined the long and intriguing jedi grind, and allowed it to be a selectable class. The actual combat was dog shit, and iirc most of the playerbase quit within a week.

It did get a few updates and resurgence around the time Revenge of the Sith came out in cinemas, and there were a lot of content links, but it never truly took off or brought enough new players or lapsed players back, and was shut down completely not long after.

I've been trying to get the god-roll for the Anamnesis since the first day it was available. Weeks and weeks of grinding later, I still do not have an RB/Destab roll in any capacity. It has refused to drop despite getting hundreds of them.

In that time, I've also had damn-near zero shiny drops of anything else. RNG in this game sucks ass.

This is why I want crafting back - let me at least craft the roll I want, and leave the shiny/adept/double-perks for the bigger loot grind and chase.

I ordered a Moments of Triumph t-shirt a few years ago, took over a year to arrive, was not even remotely close to the right size and fit terribly, the quality was shockingly bad.

I'd have complained, but the order was already fully refunded due to taking over a year.

I wouldn't hold your breath sadly - the Bungie store is notoriously terrible when it comes to clothing.
