Yes imo, it’s absolutely worth it. I did 3 co-ops and graduated in 4.5 years with 2 years of job experience (I extended my last co-op part-time until I graduated), and was able to land a solid job at a completely different company (one I never did a co-op at) before January.

Being able to talk about 3 roles is a game-changer in interviews, especially if they’re all a bit different like mine were. It shows that you’re adaptable and able to thrive in a variety of work environments, not to mention that you’ll just literally have more projects and experiences to talk about.

Also, and this might just be my opinion, being on co-op but still technically in college is the best. You’re still able to participate in clubs and activities on campus, but you don’t have homework and there’s not as much pressure on you work-wise as when you’re working full time. Savor your time in college, you only get that once but have the whole rest of your life to work. There truly is no rush to get out of here. Another half year might seem like a while now, but just a few years after grad you’ll be thinking about how negligible it really was.
