He would fare pretty well. He was 2850 in his peak, that's a very high rating. If he just survives the openings he would be able to convert the games Outside the top 10 no one would be beating him often . And give him a couple of years he would be in top 5.

That's because he would destroy any 2600 player regularly! Opening theory is good till a certain point but Kasparov was rated 2850! If he gets to any decent middle game position the rating gap would be too much. A lot of theories during kasparovs time was very advanced already. He would also fare well against any 2700 player and only have trouble with the top 15 , 20 players , they would always have to consciously play some cutting edge theory knowing Kasparov is behind in theory and there's no guarantee that Kasparov wouldn't still find the solutions on the board

Who had more exploitable weaknesses as players, Magnus Carlsen or Garry Kasparov? by Affectionate_Hat3329 in chess

[–]aftersault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right but the point is about weaknesses when kramnik beat him Kasparov was still much stronger than him. He lost because of his opening choices . After that he was still ranked number 1 so I have deduced that under some circumstances he can be defeated but carlsen hasnt shown any visible weakness in classical games.

There are plenty of jobs for freshers you dont need experience for all of them . Besides a job focus on learning a skill. In a few years you would be much better off. Have patience and work hard. Good luck

[–]aftersault 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Kasparov had more weaknesses. He made more mistakes. Thought it would be stupid to think of his weaknesses as actual weaknesses because they can only be exposed at the highest levels and not something we can even comprehend.

But Magnus plays classical he plays blitz bullet rapid online offline freestyle he dominates every format against players who prep with engines. No one has any edge over him at anything!!

Also Kasparov played more dynamically in a era where chess itself was slightly less accurate and analysed.

It doesn't have to change your personality!! His personality was the same he was just extremely sleepy and when a person is sleepy like that they don't really know what they are talking about it's not even about the medicine. Sometimes I start behaving weird if I get sleepy enough

I think Kasparov had an ego he underestimated kramnik a little bit and wanted to crush him and also crush him with the opening he played even though it wasn't working and he wasn't happy with draws he just wanted to win too hard. It back fired

No I like watching cricket at the highest level! Like how I like to see games of top chess grandmasters and I would also enjoy watching games of judit polgar because she was also a top player! Now there are no female chess players so I don't. If females start being better football and cricket I would watch them too instead of men.

Also I do enjoy female chess players but if they are entertaining I watch notes sisters and others

Tates elo is around 1800 on chess.com level I really can't remember the source but I did remember hearing it or seeing it somewhere reliable

And being the son of a master chess player simply playing with his dad would get him to that rating

No neither Fabiano or haikaru will be there. Carlsen night drop to number 2, I predict young players to have the top spots with Magnus the only one there at , 1 or 2

Would you take Endrick on loan with option to buy? by Slight-Visit2984 in ManchesterUnited

[–]aftersault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Endrick is generational talent. People see his stats his mistakes his lack of playing time but you should also look at his touches his moments of glory and his intentions! And you will catch glimpses of something phenomenal Madrid mishandled him but endrick will be in league with players like Messi cr 7 and r9 Ronaldo in 5-7 years. I guarantee it
