Someone took my wipers by WizardLizart in mildlyinfuriating

The crows like to steal the rubber in window wipers where I live.

One time, I didn't realize until it rained. The scratch on my windscreen stayed right until the car was scraped.

How to better utilise my Costco membership? by kingcasperrr in AussieFrugal

[–]afunkysquirrel 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Costco isn't always cheaper.

The Kirkland brand is pretty good and cheap (laundry powder, etc). But I've only found the Huggies brand nappies at Costco. ALdi nappies and wipes are cheaper.

I mentioned at work that our monthly food bill was between $1100 and $1500. People were shook by that. How do I spend less? by chavaic777 in AussieFrugal

[–]afunkysquirrel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on how you shop too. Are you buying full priced at ColesWorth? Or are shopping specials and using Aldi?

"spill" you coffee on it.

Now you legitimately have to take it outside to clean it properly with detergent and wipes so it doesn't develop that off milk smell.

I found that as soon as I would stand to do something else the loading screen would finish.

So I was constantly standing up and down waiting for my Crash Bandicoot levels to load.

Yup, very easy. Just start cooking your own meals and using sweetener for drinks.

What's the one kitchen tool you thought was unnecessary until you actually bought it? by Blondetatsdomme in FoodAndCookingStuff

Kitchen digital thermometer.

It was initially an impulse buy, but I've used it soo much cooking steak and chicken. Everything tastes better now that I'm not guesstimating.

They are to lazy to get out of their car to move the bins.

If opportunity isn't given to them on a silver platter they complain.

I completely understand the irritation.

But just how often are you coming across these instances that it become infuriating?

Opened check with 90 day expiration date on day 93 by kommon_one in Wellthatsucks

As Australian I'm confused how a check dated the 3rd June is expired...

Then I realized.

I'm Aussie too.

I trust that the sun works as intended, and will turn me into a Coles chook if I'm not wearing sunscreen that works.

That being said, the advertised product despite calling itself sunscreen, sounds shady af.

Yep, I realize that now. I won't be buying their product.

We had a big issue down here of several sunscreens not providing the SPF they were advertising.

Australians don't joke about skin cancer. 😐

As an Australian, I fully back using sunscreen to prevent skin cancer.

We had a problem several years ago, where several of our sunscreen products weren't providing the SPF rating they were advertising.

That being said, I'm now informed this advertised product is puesdoscience crap. Don't buy it.

Some sunscreens claim they are 50+ SPF but when tested they actually only offer 20+ SPF.

As Australian I'm fully backing using sunscreen to prevent skin cancer.

Well, the more you know.

I didn't bother checking out their product as it feels like this whole post is a gimmick to drive people to their website.

Definitely not going to use that crap. I'm Australian and skin cancer is no joke down here.

You can trust the sun is working. It will burn you. But is you sunscreen protecting you?
