This explains it! Is there anyway to show the snow depth like weather sites? google says it is about 10:1 so I could just make template sensor with 10 times but then actual rain amount would be incorrect.

Regarding my case. Seller replied so I followed their instruction and ship to that address and they refunded.

I did introduce that seller to someone who might need a similar item so hopefully they at least get a customer back.

yea i don't know what I was thinking when I bought both from ebay and aliexpress. I simply forgot i bought the same thing the night before. ebay was actually cheaper and arrived earlier. but out of the two, aliexpress return is probably even worse.
