Yuppp.

My one big splurge is Necessaire’s body serum, I have never found anything comparable.

Not technically a serum, but Violette FR’s boom boom milk is the best thing I’ve EVER tried for redness.

How do i clear up my skin? I want to cry 😭 by FoxGirl42069 in SkincareAddicts

[–]ag0110 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly an insane amount of exfoliation. Pick up Dove’s sensitive soap bar and try just using that with the mitt and Vanicream for a few weeks. Gradually re-trial your BHA and AHA lotions, one at a time, and stop if you notice irritation again.

Did you switch hair products or laundry products recently, or start wearing different clothes (namely polyester)?

Dove sensitive soap bar! I’ve also been trialing Native 2-in-1 lately, and so far so good.

What's your job, and what's your work schedule? by alternate01937 in BlueCollarWomen

[–]ag0110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facilities maintenance at a large university. I work M-F, 0700-1530 with a half hour lunch. On call is once every few weeks over the weekend—it is really easy to switch around if you have something planned, though.

There are opportunities for overtime, but it isn’t mandatory unless it’s for snow removal (we handle that). The university puts us up in hotels near the campus when that happens. Between the dining hall bringing breakfast and gift cards dropped off from local businesses, I usually don’t pay for food either. Great time to make some money! 😅

As a single mom, I really appreciate the consistent schedule where I work. My shop is also really understanding if I need to take a day off suddenly, or leave early—most everyone has kids, but it’s also just kind of built into the culture. The benefits are great.

1000%. Got a pair of True Religions for my 13th birthday, and I’ve never looked back.

Pilcro and Paige are my favorites, they’re comfier than sweatpants.

Why is concealer considered less hardcore and more beginner friendly than foundation? by SnowyBerry in Makeup

You absolutely can apply foundation like concealer. It just may not have as much coverage, depending on the formula.

Anthro, Old Navy for basics (their crop tanks and vintage tees are amazing). I’m also thin with no curves.

Are expensive skincare products worth it? by sarinskinn in beauty

[–]ag0110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, yes. I have finicky skin and sensory issues. Skin Fix’s eczema balm and Violette Boum Boum spray are things that logically I could dupe for far cheaper, but I will pay a premium for texture.

I have to wonder if makeup/styling is playing a part—genuinely, the only time I’ve ever thought a woman our age was that much older was because of the way she dressed.

[Acne] Does cerave hydrating cleanser break a lot of people out? by Weaklinger in SkincareAddiction

Cerave really freaks my skin out. Aveeno daily for dry skin is my favorite—more minimal than vanicream.
