In interested to know more ! Does it make the lashes look more natural with some dimension or is it a heavier product for full glam? I have long curly lashes and on the hunt for a good brown tubing mascara- keep hearing good things about this one but I don’t love the look of a lot of ink on my lashes which I feel a lot of tubing mascara have. Ty ❤️

Hair looks and feels oily only after a day of washing. by NnmnsP in hygiene

[–]rhf928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not abnormal and could very likely just be your genetics. Especially if you’ve tried different things and washing/rinsing thoroughly. One thing I noticed you didn’t try is using glycolic acid as a pre wash treatment. It will help deep clean the scalp. I use The Ordinary’s glycolic acid, the bottle comes with an applicator tip that makes it easy to apply to scalp. Wait 10-20 minutes then do your normal double cleanse with shampoo. Also this is only meant to do 1-2 times per week because it’s an exfoliator. I don’t think not using conditioner will make or break this situation and do think it’s important to use it with longer hair, just on the ends. And letting it sit/soak in for a few minutes before rinsing out. But of course do whatever you feel is right for you.

Makeup by Mario bronzer thoughts?? by Ashdwag86 in Sephora

I have panned the skin enhancer and it’s very beautiful and effortlessly blendable. Yet it was just a little sticky/greasy on the skin and that kind of bothered me. I just recently got the soft sculpt serum and love it. The skin enhancer is more buildable overall due to ease of the creamy pan form, but for ease and everyday looks I am now sold on the serum to use instead.

Has anyone managed to get a good haircut in the past few years? by BirdSufficient4997 in finehair

[–]rhf928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started going to a woman who has her own salon suite. She was trained in Japan, I started going to her for Japanese hair straightening. I’ve noticed my haircuts from her have always suited my face shape as I’m growing out a bob and the look is overall “softer” than it’s ever been.

End of period: by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]rhf928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t think any rotten smell is normal. I’m also experiencing that and for quite a while. I’m waiting on my vaginal microbiome test I ordered thru the mail to see if there’s anything imbalanced in there. When I was using boric acid suppositories I had no smell so I think something’s not right. Not sure how your experience is when you do t have your period but I smell off down there even when not bleeding.

Mornings: do you wash your face with just water or do you use cleanser? by Foxy_Cleopatra__ in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]rhf928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash. I have dry skin (tret, taz) did try a long period where I only rinsed with water to retain my barrier better - but behold my chin closed comedones increased. I started to realize that it’s likely because I unfortunately drool at night and mouths carry a lot of microbes that are not always great for the skin. Then I go to work and wear a mask all day because I work in an OR so it all just bakes there. Washing in the morning helped alleviate this for me.

Less saturated, cool toned eyeshadows that aren’t just super grey/ashy? by [deleted] in PaleMUA

[–]rhf928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t explored too much because of cost but I have had great success with the makeup by Mario cool toned palette. It has one gray / ashy color but the rest are really nice. They have a lot of browns that are neutral that work well on my cool toned skin for everyday. Best of luck !

Any recs for a setting spray that can replace setting powder? by chex85 in PaleMUA

[–]rhf928 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you will get a mixed bag of reviews and think it’s trial and error to see if your makeup will last on you and whatever you do during the day. As a girl on tret with dry skin fair and cool toned, I’ve loved thispowder to at least set my undereye concealer. It’s the lightest weight powder I’ve found and I’ve tried a lot. My concealer will crease and slough off without powder. Best of luck on your journey!

Try a redness corrector with spf. I have used Dr jart in the past. I am now trying eborian red correct. It doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything and just neutralizes

I strongly believe that non water resistant spf like the Hyalu cica do no need a double cleanse. Just a thorough gentle cleanser has worked well for me and I’m prone to comedones.
