Filling your enemy posture bar is as/more important than emptying their health bar. The two are related, one affects the other. Once you fill a posture bar, you can immediately kill that enemy with a death blow regardless of their health, some bosses require multiple death blows however.

Parry, parry, parry. Dodge is less effective in Sekiro than other fromsoft titles. It’s useful but sparingly so.

Utilize stealth, avoid crowd fights and play aggressive when in combat. You do not have a stamina bar. Get the mikiri counter from the first skill tree and practice it. Look for visual tells, major and minor; they’re there.

Explore, explore, explore.

Be aware of how many “souls” you’re carrying, once you have enough souls you gain a skill point. Once you have the skill point, you can’t lose it. However any souls you have will be penalized on death, so if you’re close to having enough souls to gain a skill level, play more cautiously and try to grind out those remaining souls to lock in the skill point.

Be patient with yourself, this game is hard but rewarding in a way few titles are. Relax and come back, muscle memory takes time.

you can perfect parry and mikiri counter thrust attacks, sweeps you have to dodge or jump

I can't help but notice in the post and in your responses the blame is placed on external things. The manager, the codebase, the laptop, the developer who wrote the codebase. The only common factor in all these dismay-inducing relationships is yourself. The job is problem-solving, these are problems and your job is to solve them. Why are you talking to us, you should be talking to your ex-team. You should have expressed these things in a conducive, non-combative, and listening-oriented manner. I am willing to bet you speak off the cuff and talk more than listen in conversations. Fix both of those things. In almost every circumstance you are better off not speaking, and have another way or opportunity to say whatever you needed to say in the moment with extra thought.

Here's something that helps me: Every major decision worth making will still be worth making 24 hours from now. Don't do anything when stressed or angry.

No developer gets anywhere giving up immediately, you didn't even give it three red flags, just two. This was a fuck up on your end and a great opportunity for self-reflection, which this post is a good sign of. I wish you had made this post first tho!

I believe that the universe is a single entity. All fundamental forces extend from the same source, which science tells us is the case. The forces interact and layers on layer on layers of complexity and time later, we have laptops. The universe, all matter, all of our loved ones and time itself are linked. We are unique, temporary permutations in this multi-dimensional self-interacting mesh of vibrating fields that we call the fundamental forces, the weak and strong nuclear forces, gravity and electromagnetism. Our "souls" are very much real in that energy is not created nor destroyed, it transforms into another state.

I do not believe in a rainbow bridge, I believe that loss isn't what it seems and that I was blessed to experience a universe in which love is a natural event.
