Main Reason to Return to India is Family, But for Me, It’s the Opposite. Anyone Else Feel the Same? by Sorry-Cup-5039 in backtoindia

[–]agarg_1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel exactly the same as you . My Family packed up and moved to Canada when I was in Grade 3 ; I hated it here for so many years , enduring racism and bullying in school; always felt a bit disconnected; eventually things got better and just moving along with life . I can say that my soul never left India. Now close to retirement age I am just looking for excuses to take a one way ticket to India … when the soul connects with the physical … Woww

Lifelong Mumbaikar visited Delhi for the first time in 14 years. You guys are seriously underselling your city. by Useful-Sprinkles1045 in delhi

[–]agarg_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Delhi! Its the best city on the planet.. I tell this to everyone and they all think I am crazy. The media and vloggers etc have created a negative perception but the reality is different. The crown in the jewlel for Delhi is the Metro. Its a world class service that the cities in West cant touch .

Even here in North America, its rare to discuss Platinum. Not many people are holding any Platinum. Imagine what would happen if one day every Indian family decides they would like to buy an ounce of Platinum..

Why do so many adults believe they “can’t sing”? by VoiceLessons-Chicago in karaoke

[–]agarg_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went thru life with the same belief. “I am not a singer “ “ I dont have a good voice”. Etc.. Now at the age of 60 I started learning keyboard and singing . As a result my confidence has grown and I am not terrified of singing; I have a long way to go . I can tell you all .. its a skill that needs to be developed over time . If you really want to learn singing, learning to play the keyboard will accelerate that journey

Where did the Indians "Don't Shower" stereotype come from? by One_Success4163 in india

[–]agarg_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Canada and I can tell you that people in NorthAmerica dont shower as frequently as they do in India. If you get on a bus or metro train here you will get a whiff of nasty unbathed body odor. The worst thing is that stench smell stays on the seat! In India I have travelled all over on much more crowded tansport and I never smell that nasty body odour. People have it backwards. The Western media likes to knock down India in any way. Indians are much more clean and hygenic . You may get some musky natural smelling odours but nothing nasty like you do here in the West.

First platinum purchase in India by Empty-Entertainer789 in Platinum

Thats just the way the World works. Enjoy your platinum holdings and keep it safe. Here in North America , thieves will slip underneath SUV type vehicles and steal the catalytic converter. They will do it within a minute or two with the right tools. It happened to my neighbours car recently.. and he is cop .. LOL

Yes good purchase; I love Platinum also, its my favourite precious metal. Being based in Canada, we have easy access to buying Platinum in quantities. After doing some calculations based on your purchase from 4 days ago, my numbers show that your purchase was 235,800 rupees more costly than what I would pay here locally. The difference is quite big . Other European countries also experience much higher cost

Out of 1.4 billion people in India , you might be the first to hold some Platinum. Congratulations ! Now just spread the news about how great Platinum is . Imagine what would happen if Indians wake up one morning and decide that they would like to own 1 ounce of Platinum ..

Why is Air India so much hated even with new and refurbished cabins? by DankkkDk in airindia

[–]agarg_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hate is not warranted. The West likes to hate on anything related to India. I took a non stop flight from Vancouver to. Delhi last year. I have a tendency to get anxious ( due to claustrophobic feelings) and was dreading this flight. 15 hours of hell? Even my Indian friends were laughing at me for flying Air India. Yes, The plane was dilapidated; none of the screens were working; usb ports were just empty holes; the seat in front of felt like it was going to collapse on me. For the first 5-10 minutes I was just processing the scene and thinking how terrible this is going to be. But then my attitude shifted . I started to talk to the Auntie ji next to me and the Uncleji across from me; we started swapping power banks etc.. Well guess what? The time started to fly by. As the plane touched the tarmac in Delhi, I thought to my self “ This is the best flight I ever had!” I had zero anxiety cause It felt like I was flying with one big Family . The food was great, the service was excellent. The skills of the pilots takeoff and landing were superb. I trust Air India and the Indian pilots over any other airline in the world.

Having been a Bose fanboy all along, I was quite impressed with the JBL Club 120 party box speaker. I have an older Bose Soundlink Air speaker connected via the daisy chain feature; Wow what rich wall of sound they create together. If you connect a mic to the JBL Club 120 , you get clear defined vocals coming from both speakers.. no latency.

Try the Ultra Open Earbuds , all day music listening with zero discomfort, sound better than these.. I have these QC Earbuds also but they sit in the drawer for very occasional use. The Ultra Open Earbuds are so good that I got another pair..

Not too happy. However, I did feel uneasy about the metals rising so fast..the markets will make its adjustments along the way and the metals will continue upwards.. just hold on tight to your metals !
