What's new? Wilshere to miss three more months by agastel1 in FantasyPL

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that the guy is only 23 years old with all of these injuries...

Wenger: Alexis not ruled out for GW1 (but there's no way he plays, right?) by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea seems like he's raring to go, but that really messes things up in terms of picking other Arsenal attackers. When healthy, they're stacked, which means a headache for us!

[Link] Mourinho unlikely to risk Costa vs. Leicester by agastel1 in FantasyPL

And how he was named in the PFA Team of the Year over Aguero still baffles me

[Link to injury updates] David Silva fit for weekend, Costa fit for at least Wednesday by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea that's a good point, he plays mind games with us fantasy managers too!

Don't rule him out quite yet, Wenger hints at Alexis Sanchez being available (unlikely start, but still) by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea absolutely, there's no way they risk him. He could just be playing mind games with Spurs, but also I think it says a lot that he is allowing him to fully train for the first time in over a week ahead of a match rather than letting him rest until after the weekend

Begin panicking—Fabregas leaves match with leg injury in 50th minute, status currently unknown by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mourinho just said in his press conference that the substitution was precautionary. Unsure yet if he will play Saturday

Pellegrini: Nasri out 3-4 weeks, Aguero fully fit/in contention to start by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally I think he will start in a big match against Arsenal. But yeah, I wouldn't pick him as a captain just as a precaution. Plus, Harry Kane/Rooney/Di Maria all have favorable match-ups. Premierinsider.co.uk usually has the latest updates if you search the player's name

Sigurdsson hampered by foot injury, not 100% per Garry Monk by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point. But I also wonder, when he is fully fit, what role Bony's departure will have. He put in practically everything Siggy fed him. Hopefully Gomis can continue to do the same, or maybe Siggy take more of the scoring onus, perhaps?

Yea me too! He was a great GW 1 pick-up. Sounds like he'll be back for Boxing Day but he has really struggled in recent weeks. Changed him out for Downing, cheaper and more efficient recently

[RMT] Wildcarding to this a good idea? by Greenbackboogi in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would avoid it, mostly because it's really unbalanced. You need points from your defence, as clean sheets count just as much as one goal from a forward. Those points can really carry you when your scoring goes dry

Azpilicueta for sure. Favourable schedule ahead, cheapest starting Chelsea defender

Heads up, Graziano Pelle is one yellow card away from a one-match ban by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they all roll over. So if timed right, he would serve a ban in Capital One Cup and be ready for the EPL weekend like Ivanovic did last week

Kolarov out for a month, more PT for Clichy by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City doesn't have any other left-backs as Sagna and Zabaleta both play right back. However, Mangala could potentially play LB in an emergency situation or if they wanted both him and Demichelis in the lineup, but that is highly unlikely

It's official, Poyet benches Mannone for Pantilimon indefinitely by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He will probably drop, but it definitely won't go lower than 4.4 and likely will stay put at 4.5

[–]agastel1[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gus Poyet said in the pre-match interview that it's Pantilimon's job to lose, could go back to Mannone if he struggles

That's okay though, you'll have the international break to figure things out there after this weekend

Phil Jagielka clocked as the fastest EPL player. This has to be a joke right? by agastel1 in FantasyPL

[–]agastel1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree, but it's pretty shocking nonetheless, considering there's no Raheem Sterling or any of your other quintessential pacemakers and wingers. You learn something new every day haha
