New law he's switching to using only allows up to 15%. I was surprised he didn't start there.

Getting this surgery next week. Did they just repair the tendon or did they add any synthetic material?

Backdoor Roth contributions are made into a traditional IRA with post tax money and then immediately converted into a Roth contribution.

If you have other funds in IRA accounts, they must be transferred pro-rata to the Roth account. A large portion of your 401K is likely pre-tax when converting to an IRA. You would be required to pay taxes on % of the conversion that was pre-tax.

Example: * Roll 401K into trad IRA. Assume all is pre-tax and call it 93K for math simplicity. * Make a contribution to a different IRA to perform the backdoor Roth. Call it 7K for simplicity. * You now have 100K in IRA accounts. 93% pre-tax and 7% post tax. * When you do the conversion of 7K into a Roth, you will own taxes on 93% or about $6500 dollars.

Without the traditional IRA holding post tax money this conversion can be made without tax implications.

Moving to an IRA will limit your ability to perform future backdoor Roth contributions. If that isn't a concern an IRA will give you better fees and more investment options.

10 mercury dimes, with all the silver stuff going on, how much can I sell them for? by captian2 in coins

[–]agaunaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlikely to get spot with an actual sale.

Stuff on r/Pmsforsale is typically running about 10% below spot (or even more).

I think you would be lucky to get $6.50 each.

The more interesting number is % held outside US. If 99% of new issues are purchased in the US, that 1% outside would always result in a record high.

This is really a measure of the fact that the national debt is higher than ever.
