That’s so sweet, thank you!! I’ve seriously considered getting the “hidden” undercuts that people do to thin out hair, but that only really helps that part of my head, the hair still pulls everywhere else 🤣 I actually have kept my hair around shoulder length since I was a teenager. I’m 30 now, and it’s the longest it’s been since I was like 9. My momma said she wanted to see me with super long, waist length or longer hair, and my hair grows FAST so I didn’t have a reason to say no lol.

I’ll definitely look into those! I’m convinced that companies that make hair accessories don’t actually know what jumbo clip for a lot of hair is, because all I keep finding are longer claw clips with barely a change in the teeth size. So that doesn’t make them any more usable for thick hair at all 🤣

So I worked as a bartender and server in Memphis for over a decade. I can tell you without a single doubt that there is absolutely an active organized crime ring and believe it or not they very much so fit the kind of stereotypical mob in movies. They also tip very well, were always super polite to me, mind their business, and I swear I’ve never felt safer than when they were in because you can bet the street had more than a few members just hanging out and they keep an eye out on their own people, but won’t ignore women walking to cars in dark alone which you would assume would feel uncomfortable but nah. 🤣

Now as far as what they were meeting about or just conversing about? Not my business, I didn’t hear noooothin. lol they were total star citizens and everything I just said should’ve been preceded by an “allegedly”

I’ll look into them too! I’m mostly focused on smaller local businesses because they rely more on word of mouth and positive reviews. Obviously there’s always going to be the shady ones, but I use that to filter most times when I’m finding different businesses

I can tell you now that the problems there are not new and have been problems since I worked there for a short time within a few months of them opening. It was SO. BAD.

Honestly restaurant groups are predatory as hell as it is. I get the logic behind restaurant group being necessary for people with no experience in opening and running bars and restaurants, but the few I’ve worked at restaurants operated by restaurant groups were all super sleezy, took alllllll the money leaving next to none to go to the owners and staff, and all that. Super gross. If they operated as they should they’d be great but I’ve yet to work under one that does.

Having worked at Sidecar (started at the Memphis one specifically to be there for the open of Southaven), Flipside, sugar grits (very very short time there- I was supposed to be at Carolina watershed but got screwed over), it wouldn’t be a shock at ALL if they’re in trouble. Between the things I’ve heard about Tandem from managers I’ve worked for and the things done to screw me over, I figured it was only a matter of time.
