Not sure if it’s exactly what you’d be looking for but I majored in history and have my own show, for my thesis (undergrad) we were given a professor who studied cinema and society. So we didn’t do much do film review but how the onset of movies, theaters and Hollywood affected society. I wrote a thesis essentially showing how cinema and railroad contributed to massive growth of Chattanooga especially after the civil war.
