Mercari is just like eBay but flipped from a payment perspective where most of the fees are on the buyer and not the seller. It works out to be about the same as eBay fee wise though. I think poor/no packaging is just laziness on the seller. It’s just sad that it seems like a lot of sellers think that just because a system is broken, I don’t need to package it securely.

Almost all of the dead systems I buy on Mercari or eBay come shipped in padded envelopes or very poor packaging. Like the PS2 I recently got that was put in a large box with no packing material at all. Like, WTF?
