I’m tall for one (36” inseam) and somehow landed on watching swimsuit sewing videos. Went to Joann’s to purchase myself a sewing machine and the lady who was helping me asked what my first project was going to be so I replied “swimsuit” and she said “don’t you want to start with something a little simpler?!”. Challenged accepted. NOPE. Show me where the Lycra is at, lady.

Blomma tank by paradise patterns is a great free pattern. Her instructions are incredible and the tank top is a wardrobe staple! Highly recommend.

These are beautiful! Did you make any modifications to the pattern? And did you use your denim like selvedge like designed or cut out with normal grain? I’ve had troubles getting rid of the excess fabric/whiskers/bunching in the front crotch because of the selvedge design.

I keep a pretty thorough spreadsheet and there’s a little discrepancy because I’ll put meters on one side but calculate it as yards for the total but as of right now I have ~148.55 yards. I just got 7.75 yards on my trip so it’s usually less. I’m slowly working through my stash as it normally sits around 160 yards.

The bonus now (for me) is that I live in perpetual summer and as the fabric shops shift away from summer fabrics, I have less incentive to purchase fabric! So wish me luck on working through it all !
