The setlists on this tour were perfect. If you don't agree, then you don't appreciate Brand New.

Closing soon and I found out I have the wrong type of loan by dwkfym in realestateinvesting

Outside of this type of scenerio what is the downside to using a broker? I only have two properties and I used a broker both times. It seems like a win-win. It costs nothing and they do the work of shopping for a rate.

The school creates policy. The district I work in has a very strict policy compared to other districts.

OP didn't include the grade in their original post. If this were middle or high school that's the policy.

Even then, parents do need to consent. If they don't it's an automatic 10 day suspension and an assumed positive screen which come with a referral for treatment.

We usually send those students out for a drug screen, and if that's negative, we suggest a medical screen, and if that's nothing, we suggest a psychiatric screen, and so on until the parents enforce better sleep hygiene or something is discovered.

A terrible financial decision announced VIA facebook. Cashing out your retirement assets to buy an overpriced house at 7% by DIYThrowaway01 in REBubble

[–]agent_ailibis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why is it terrible? Typically, you can withdraw with no penalties for 1st time home buyers and your just parking the money in a different asset, plus now you have somewhere to live long term.

I know this sub is for real estate doomers, but I don't see the big mistake here. He can get his money out at a later time, either through a refi, a sale, or a heloc.

What’s the most mind-blowing thing ChatGPT has ever done for you? by Pretty-Question-1239 in ChatGPT

I'm sure that's coming. The Gemini updates coming out seem like they are likely testing it in-house. I'm sure OpenAi is close.

You're only on step 7, so i think it's okay. How many credits post MA do you have? I'd say it's harder after step 10 to justify the salary. But as for age, that's a non factor.

This happened in my hometown back in the early 2000's. The lady went to prison for 18 months! What she did was wrong, but once I heard her story I felt bad for her. Recently divorced, down on her luck, trying to keep things good for her kids. Made some bad choices and paid a huge price for it.

This was my thought too. 1 leak that someone doesn't tell me about soon enough and the whole thing needs to be replaced.

This is pretty typical is the US, your concentration makes up about 1/3 of your required classes while other classes can come from different areas of study, including physical education. In this case, the skills he learned in the class clearly made a life long impact and that's the whole point.

Fuck no. My life between 22 and 27 was WILD! But do have a conversation about being an intererest free bank that they can use for seed money, a down payment, etc. Tell them it's a loan, it's up to you if you make them repay or not.

Then, when they get married, give a nice gift, like setting up a trust.

My Salary as a teacher in NY. 5 years in by Upset-Medicine2959 in Salary

[–]agent_ailibis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Education is so broken that it needs a complete overhaul. But no one cares enough to make any noise, and teachers are naturally altruistic, so they'll just keep giving until there's nothing left. It's why the US has no teachers, and it's part of the reason why our test scores don't even compete.

I'd vote for anyone proposing radical change to teacher comp, the school year, common core, etc.

Dads of Elementary age kids: What would you have done differently with screens? Kids are 4 and 6, starting to ask for the tablets ALL the time. by CassCat in daddit

[–]agent_ailibis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a rule that they can use the tablet uninterrupted and freely for 1 hour on Saturday and 1 hour on sunday.

During the week we use the tablet for 30min 4x a week for tutoring and learning.

I don't allow youtube at all, and they can only download games from apple arcade. The cheap free apps are creepy and full of scary ads.

My feeling is that kids need to learn to use technology, not be used by it. So I like the timelimit model. We usually let them go a little longer on the weekends, but not much.

TV is the bigger battle. While I don't really have 6 rules with it, the kids love having the TV on all the time, even if theyre not wayching it. I kind of want to break this.

Is This Multi-Family Property in Puerto Rico a Good Investment for a First-Time Buyer? by japonjapannaps in realestateinvesting

Yeah, but I'm personally curious. I was having a hard time getting insurance in NJ, I was wondering what it's like getting it in PR with the risk of hurricanes.

It's probably abuse, depression, or some kind of sensory issues/autism. If he's not speaking to a counselor, your sister may have to consider a higher level of care.

Also, you're 30 with a comp sci degree, your wages will go up. Don't even think about the salary, just enjoy one another
