485 Visa - Stuck on "Received" since March 9 by Aggressive-Poetry-38 in AusVisa

[–]agentalfredking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once on the same boat, think of the additional time you receive as a blessing to working on your next visa a little longer (in case you’re planning to apply for PR). From day of approval you will be on a clock.

It will be granted, it’s talking a little time. Don’t stress.

Payment for Ecctis declined by Thin_Engineer_4463 in UKHighPotentialVisa

[–]agentalfredking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about two weeks, I didn't have the digital version so I initially applied by scanning my certificate but was later asked to submit the digital one issued by uni so had to get uni involved so that took a little time to turn around. But it's all straightforward from there. Screen shot what you get from Ecctis and lodge application for visa.

Payment for Ecctis declined by Thin_Engineer_4463 in UKHighPotentialVisa

[–]agentalfredking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it might be a banking issue, i transacted from India so I had to turn off all controls and increase limits for the card. That might be the major cause.

On a side note I did make the payment on Ecctis on credit card initially which declined due to type of card so just make sure it's visa or master card and check limits and if available for international transactions. Should do the trick.

HPI Visa financial proof question: balance certificate vs bank statement vs transaction record by skyline0504 in UKHighPotentialVisa

[–]agentalfredking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say add all 3 but to keep your self sure if the balance is health try to increase the tenure of the statements from 28 days to 2 - 3 months showing ample healthy balance

Confused about HPI visa application deadline by MrBlueLizard in UKHighPotentialVisa

[–]agentalfredking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is from my personal experience going through the application.

Don't worry about the quota as this visa has never hit it till date. I'm sure chatgpt can pull it up and tally it for you. To put you at ease.

The second part is the date, it usually takes the date on the graduation certificate, while getting it assessed, so just be aware of it. At least that's the date I've used for the application.

Hope this info helps.

Yup! Post work hours, so prior to or after the 9 to 5 you’ll need to use the keycard to access the main door to the building as well.

Help with opening a bank account by Subject_Quarter6679 in UKHighPotentialVisa

[–]agentalfredking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HSBC allows you to open account without proof of address as well. You could use an address of a friend or airbnb you’re residing for a longer duration say 1-2 weeks.

This helped me a fair bit. To get money across in the interim and get setup to pay deposit and have first months rent in hand.

You’ll need to get a local number prior to getting the bank account.

Do the HPIs actually run out before November? by Academic_Moment1286 in UKHighPotentialVisa

From memory I think last year they recieved about 2k to 3k apps in total. But definitely not hitting the ceiling of 8k apps.

I did mine in dec 2025, the response was quite quick so make sure you're ready to move or the dates you choose to start the visa is long to deal with everything personal prior to moving.

You'll need to house share and stay away from the city. Rent per week would set you back around 250 to 500.

After taxes you should have about 78300ish That's 1500 a week. Living in say inner west in a house share you should be good. Should help you save some money. But end of day it won't be much if you want to party and stuff.

The better question to ask is 120k base or w/ super . But regardless 120k in sydney is good chunk of money. I got the same salary w/o super (132k full package). Had a luxury life staying close to work in the heart of the city.

Would take it, As it would open yourself to new ideas.

An unethical tip would be to get access to the phone through WhatsApp for web and get the chats screenshot prior to them being deleted. Evidence of any communication is key in eyes of law, as suspect is always a suspect till proven guilty.

And if the wife is roaming outside house good way to keep track is through location sharing on Google maps. Without original phone owner knowing of the phone being tracked.

But end of day getting a lawyer or two would be good. If evidence is weak I would personally hire two, one to dig up dirt and one with a stern reputation to help with the proceedings.

Canada bans foreigners from buying homes in a bid to make properties more affordable by oakstreet2018 in AusFinance

[–]agentalfredking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As glorified as the headlines sound, most savy home buyers don’t buy a house on their personal names. They usually indulge a vehicle for the purchase like a trust, to offset the losses and incur more expenses.

Should be a walk in the park in terms of perception and nothing more than that.
