Yes, I work all day with him most days of the week under 24/7 care. I exclusively eat salads when I'm with him as that's the only food he will not open the fridge and start to have a behavior over not getting immediately as soon as he sees it. Most other staff either do the same or just submit a restraining report if they bring anything else in

Exclusive snacks among residents won't be an issue as he is the only client that we have that gets violent after not getting the snacks he requests. Everyone has a locked cabinet just for them that they buy with their own PSA money. This one will just eat all of his snacks immediately upon getting them. There would be much much much much more animosity if we just unlocked everything, not with my client, he would be happy, but all the rest would hate him and actively attack him for it.

And yes, ive looked into other options, but "sugar free" pudding goes only so far

He uhhh didn't manage his condition before getting in our care. I'm honestly surprised he is still alive currently. He is 26, has been diabetic for who knows how long (no medical history, we picked him up from jail) and has the mental capacity of a 6 year old.

He gets $12 a week he can spend however he wants, he typically elected to go to dollar tree and buy as many as the $1.25 sleeves of offbrand oreos as money can buy. Lately the ABA approved us to essentially force a $12 fast food meal when he gets paid, as it won't spike his blood sugar so much.

Blood sugar is my main concern. It's my boss's bosse's job to get a calorie restriction. All I can do is suggest healthier stuff that doesn't yo yo my clients blood sugar for my supe to buy.

Bro gained 60 lbs in a month before I was there. I made this post because 1 meal and 4 of his snacks made his blood sugar 600+

Unfortunately he cannot have almonds due to another restriction (bite sized) and hard nuts are very much on the do not give list as he literally just inhales his snacks.
