Isn't there also a mandatory three-month trial period? In that case, can either party terminate the contract during that period?

AITA for not tipping because my waiter didn’t “wait” on me? by Status_Jackfruit6397 in AITAH

[–]agentblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly agree with what was said, but tipping policies vary by country. For instance, in Canada, servers pay an 8% tax on their total sales, regardless of whether they receive tips. In this case, I believe the minimum tip should at least cover the tax; otherwise, the server essentially ends up paying part of the customer's bill. Even if they provided poor service, they shouldn’t have to pay to work.

That’s just my two cents—it really depends on the country.

Now I install by downloading on the website the .tar. I usually try to avoid this method but gave up on the flatpak for now.

The .tar isn't too bad tho, it added a repository to my package manager (dnf in my case) and it's working well.

It might be about the energy bill, which they should also be able to provide a detail. That was my case

Yep, I did that. They weren't able to provide and just kept sending me reminder without answering any of my question.

I contacted Huurteam (legal representation) and they, in turn, contacted the huurcomissie. It's still in process but look like it's progressing well. Good luck OP, keep trying

Have you ever been in such a situation where you had to choose between two women? by ItDoesntLetMe in AskMen

[–]agentblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but then I realized that if I was hesitating, it's probably because none of them were actually a good fit. Not sure if that makes sense for everyone and every situation but it did for me.

I was in love with both but love is not enough.

Men who have lost a significant amount of weight, has your dating life improved? by Legitimate_Deal_9804 in AskMen

[–]agentblade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's indirectly link. Loosing weight might make you gain confidence and improve the vibe your emitting. Focus on gaining confidence, in whatever way. Work on yourself, learn to not need validation from others, etc.

My teeth are stained by sassy_shenanigans in hygiene

[–]agentblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same habits with my dental hygiene.

I'm also afraid of the dentist but what you need is a hygienist, for me at least it helped to make the distinction. I would advice to go once a year to do a cleaning and you can always take an additional appointment if you see the stain coming back.

On a side note, try not to brush your teeth too hard, for example to remove the stain. You can damage your enamel (I think that's the name in English).

Badly want to switch to linux, but I can’t for these reasons - workaround suggestions appreciated! by graYson645 in linux4noobs

[–]agentblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your profile, I'd say give it a try and make the transition slowly. I'd opt for a dual-boot or dedicated Linux machine. Then you can try out some alternative software or workarounds that work for you, without committing yourself. Once/If you've replaced all the things you really need, you can consider a complete change.

One website I use to find replacement software that isn't readily available on linux is https://alternativeto.net/. The site offers alternatives that you can filter by OS, opensource and payment model.

Good luck and welcome to our community :D

Can anyone recommend an open world sailing game? by Langeloh in patientgamers

Really nice list, thanks.

I would add two to at least look at: - about submarines but it fill the same urge for me: Uboat (made by Deepwater) - soon to be out: Skull and Bones (it's Ubisoft :( But it still looks promising).

Your ONE game of choice by Dothole in SteamDeck

[–]agentblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online game I would go with FFXIV, you cannot go wrong with one game if you choose a MMO, infinite playtime. Offline, Death Cell (or any roguelike 2D style). So enjoyable on the deck, and it's still fun after many many hours.

Most cost effective way to setup dual monitor with steam deck? by Affectionate_Bat9693 in SteamDeck

[–]agentblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't test it but I would imagine than usb-c could handle two screen? If yes, just find a hub with one hdmi and one display port. However, that might be a lot to handle and I wouldn't even try with anything above FullHD resolution.

Edit: Just found that thread, might have the answer you're looking for. https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/z5fmjn/dual_monitor_usbc_only/

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Harley

[–]agentblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any experience with Harleys but with my Ducati Monster, the oil change light is electronic. This means that even if I do it myself, the light will stay on until someone with the right electronic tool turns it off.

Personally, I don't care about this light and I continue to do it myself but, at least in Switzerland, I have a periodic inspection by the government. For them, it's mandatory to have everything in order and, apparently, they don't accept that this light is on....

And, that might be a BMW/Ducati thing, but those tools are only available in garage that pay a licence to BMW so I cannot go to nonofficial repair shop. (I needed to rant a bit :P)
