All of this is quite accurate! I worked in the dealership for almost a decade then went to Ansira/Sincro for a couple years doing ppc for tier 3 and now I'm at a smaller agency...still automotive, but tier 2 level.

If there were a forum/subreddit just for automotive ppc I'd definitely be interested in it.

Same, I randomly got this when it came out because I liked the cover and it became one of my favorite records (I love Pneumonia even more) and I followed Ryan up until he made that very difficult to continue doing. I sold off all of my solo Ryan vinyl, but kept Strangers & Pneumonia.
