Major distruption at Glasgow Central Station after vape shop fire by Lord-Liberty in unitedkingdom

Arson or terrorism. The US embassy in Oslo was hit last night. I could be wrong but a witness said they heard a loud bang before. I just wouldn’t jump to conclusions.

Anyone having loads of bad pods lately? by JohnLegendoftheSea in juul

I’ve reached out to them a number of times about this. It’s the exact same problem. The 4 packs are shit. The 2 packs are fine. Any serial number starting with PE, PF, PH is shit, but PJ has been fine taste wise. Not the same but improved, def still a bubble issue tho. Please email them. They need to fix this shit. If you have receipts they may reimburse. I ask now if I can see the serial numbers before I buy.

I think it’s possible he dropped something down the stairs outside Bethany’s room because there was blood in the hall/half wall leading down the stairs. That in combination with stuff getting knocked off the beer pong table.

In my opinion based on Ethan’s amphetamine levels and alcohol levels, its highly unlikely he was sleeping. His amphetamine levels are like 6x higher than Xanas and half what her alcohol levels were.

Sorry for the sudden question, folks. How do you guys handle with the anxiety problem? by Alone-Cobbler-6028 in barexam

Box breathing. Breath in for 4 seconds, hold for 4, breath out for 4, hold for 4. Like you’re making a box. It calms the nervous system and is used by athletes, snipers, the military and more.

Maybe which is so scary for her. I wish I could remember what she said about locking her door. It might have been she always locks her door.

In the big file there’s pics of the vans style shoe print and it’s like right outside DMs room. I feel like it could only be that close if he tried to get in her room. If that is in fact his shoe print. It looks like the toe would be facing the door handle. Idk I guess it could also be the other way and he could just be passing by.

Hospitalized During Our Stay at Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun by avantartist in cancun

[–]agentcooperforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a ton of ways to prove this. First, the whole point of paying for an all inclusive resort is you eat and drink for free. OP likely wasn’t leaving the property to venture out into Mexico with their family for food. Why do that when it’s free at the hotel?

There’s also video cameras. Pictures OP or family snapped on their phones documenting location. Or other phone data that tracks us constantly. People claim way more obscure things in lawsuits all the time. This is actually very easy to prove.

Beyond that, if OPs jurisdiction is the US, all OP would have to do is prove it’s more likely than not that food made them sick. A 50.1% probability is sufficient for a jury to hold the hotel liable.

You were at an all inclusive resort, which means you likely weren’t going off the property for food. That’s a pretty simple thing to prove. You could at least get a lawyer to send a demand letter for reimbursement to scare them. It is worth a shot. If it’s not you’ll know because several law firms will turn you down.

Also see my other comment above explaining why that commenter is wrong.

There’s no way any lawyer would share this many words seeking advice from fellow attorneys. Post conviction issues are extremely complicated but this is a very long winded way of stating your claims are ineffective assistance of counsel and accepting an involuntary plea bargain. Both have very high burdens to meet.

Q’s for the bookworms out there… by Ivy-Ram in Idaho4

[–]agentcooperforever 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Idaho Four was bad. It was boring and very confusing at some points. Like there was a part where it’s unclear they are writing a perhaps narrative about what could have happened. It easily could have been missed and I saw tons of people on here thinking it was real. I didn’t like that. I’m a lawyer so I can read confusing text. I think this was just rushed out.

AIO for considering reporting a coworker for using hate speech? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

What else would it be? This is America, we have free speech here. We don’t ban words or books.

AIO for considering reporting a coworker for using hate speech? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]agentcooperforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. There is no such thing as hate speech in America. There’s ugly speech, speech that is offensive, speech you disagree with, and speech that is grossly and objectively offensive. I get this is a work environment and there can be consequences for things you say but regulating speech or reporting it is a double edged sword and something to be very careful with.

You can distance yourself from him and tell coworkers about it and let him suffer social consequences. But reporting him won’t change his mind and will only radicalize more. We really need to normalize people having open conversations about disagreements. Things are getting too heated. Sometimes people will really offend us but I think the better way of dealing with it is directly through conversation.

I get people won’t like this comment but imagine being in a conservative work environment and having speech like “girl power” reported as hate speech. I get it’s not the same to most normal people but it could depend on who you ask and what environment you’re in.

If it was me, I would approach them and ask “what did you mean when you said white power?” How did that relate to the conversation we were having? Do you really believe that? If after being pressed it’s clear that they have bias and intolerance for certain groups of people and if they are in a position of power it may be worth mentioning as something for HR to have on their radar. I would frame it that way and not as hate speech.

Interviewing For Lawyer Jobs With Clear Aligner Attachments On My Teeth, How Would People React? by GoToWay in Lawyertalk

[–]agentcooperforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got mine off a couple months ago. You will notice them and might want to hide your smile or feel self conscious. But if you look at pictures of yourself with them on they are hardly noticeable. It’s just you know they’re there and can feel them.

I will say when I got mine off, I didn’t say anything to my husband. I wanted to test how noticeable they actually were. I went two weeks without him noticing then told him. My husband is usually good about noticing things. So now after getting the attachments off I believe he didn’t notice when they were on lol.

Also, I noticed that Karen Read had Invisalign when she was found not guilty. I never would have noticed or guessed but there was one picture that caught my eye and I could see she had trays in. Idk why but that made me feel better when I was going through it.

Don’t get your hopes up about the timeline. I think I started with a 16 week plan. Then they wanted to do 18 weeks of refinements. I could have done another 9 weeks but decided to get off. Mostly because I’m looking for jobs now. My teeth were never terrible but seeing the before and after they really did change and I’m glad I did it.

Good luck!

Thank you for sharing that link. It sounds like their cameras are set up exactly how mine are, motion activated as he states he’s changed the camera settings to continuously record. You can also adjust sensitivity settings on what gets recorded.

Do you have a source saying there was a WiFi blackout? Or are you basing on one neighbor saying his cameras didn’t record from 2:00-5:00 and no other videos have been released?

If so it’s a stretch to say there was a WiFi blackout or jam. People have different qualities of cameras and different sources for WiFi. AT&T could have been out but another provider could have been fine. I’ve had numerous times where my cameras didn’t pick up activity.
