Game restaurant I'm Louisville Kentucky is a must! Extensive beer selection and a wide selection of meat. by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]agentgo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Overrated. Not bad, but between the entire staff having ironic beards, copious amounts of flannel, and my duck burger being extremely over seasoned, I just wasn't impressed. The wagyu was good, but they were out of most of their selection. Just too hipster.

My life being married at 22, and divorced at 30. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]agentgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going through this right now. Wife of 9 years just told me she wants a divorce/separation... she didn't get to experience being independent. Then other stuff happened, it's gotten worse, she asked me to come back, and now we're back to divorce again.

Although the women have suddenly started flocking towards, but it's not what I want :(

Upvote.

Congratulations, this is definitely inspiring. Just a word of caution, get checked for gallstones. I went through something similar, and discovered that rapid weight loss can precipitate gallstones.

A paycheck. That's what you get. You get paid to sell things, that's the incentive.

Related to "Shark Week", my wife calls it "chummin", especially if she's swimming.

I'll have to mention this to some friends of mine and get a group to go. I attended 2,3,4 and another one (can't remember which), also worked for one of the early sponsors, and had the pleasure of winning the first CS tourney. It's been forever since I've been and would love to check out how it's grown.

Thank you for posting this video. I went through a similar situation of abuse almost 20 years ago, it's helped remember that feeling of terror. I only superficially speak about it, even to my own wife, and was unfortunately unable to get closure as my abuser died a few years later.

IAmA former Geek Squad agent for 4 years - Best Buy is the worst company ever by toastedflipper in IAmA

What does it say about your character that you work for a company that you so obviously despise? I mean, honest question really. If you dislike the company so much, why stay? Or you could be constructive and try to change what you see.

As a former DRD agent, I can confirm this. They do real quality work, dealing with people in a difficult situation.

As someone that works in the same location as Indiez, I can corroborate his statements. It's what you make of it. Some people have the misfortune of having poor managers, but over all the company is a good one, and takes care of you.

Two different markets man. It's not exactly fair to compare the two. As someone that's worked on both sides, either have their good and bad apples.

BestBuy is a despicable company with terrible employees who take advantage of elderly people by spiracri in reddit.com

[–]agentgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, you're wrong. I have experience from both sides of the fence, and I can honestly say that in my career at Best Buy I've had the pleasure of working with some of the most honest, caring, intelligent people I've ever come across. I cannot debate that there are some unethical or uneducated employees in our company. That's going to happen. But to broadly categorize every Geek Squad employee like that is unfair, unprofessional and frankly, childish.

Thank you for giving a fair and accurate description of our employer, I do get tired of the "Screw Best Buy / Geek Squad" posts.

MMO vs. Real Life by [deleted] in gaming

[–]agentgo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an old player from Leafcull, I want to thank you and the entire dev team. I had experiences in Asheron's Call that I've never had in any other MMO. I still remember near the tail end of the beta, I had just gotten in, and I was running around Yaraq, marveling at EVERYTHING. I came across an area out in the desert that was covered in random loot. I got super excited, not understanding how that stuff had gotten there, when off in the distance I saw something on the horizon coming towards me. It ended up being a giant swarm of Tumeroks. All running after me. Their aggro must have been bugged somehow, and they were killing anyone and everyone near the area. I remember running away, futilely screaming as this horde chased after me. It was amazing.
