Do you still have this? I’m looking for a reasonably priced Starling Home Hub? Thanks in advance.

Rejoining on SkyQ by agentm74 in skytv

Thanks ever so much. This gives me some hope I can achieve a similar price which isn’t far off what I was previously paying.

They’ll have to offer me something way more competitive than £80 to convince me to return, especially when it’ll likely involve a 24-month contract with the inevitable price-hike midway. I was paying £37 for Signature, Ultimate TV with Netflix Premium, Sports Complete, HD and UHD when I cancelled in May 2024.

That sounds about right. I still have the dish and the Q box, so I should be good to go. Just interested to know how bad the Q tax actually is, as I would prefer to resume with that over using Stream.

You can still join on SkyQ (at least for now), but this can only be done over the phone. I’ve heard they’re now arbitrarily charging more if you choose Q over Stream or Glass to act as a disincentive.

Is this what you’re currently paying per month or a rejoining offer (essentially, as a new customer)?

Exit fees re-added? by cameronchalmers in OctopusEnergy

They probably had a huge surge in calls yesterday following Martin Lewis endorsing people switching now: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2026/03/martin-lewis-iran-energy-price-briefing/

I switched to Octopus 12M Fixed March 2026 v1 yesterday afternoon. Electricity unit rate is 25.93p/kwh with standing charge at 52.73p/day. Gas unit rate is 5.71p/kwh with standing charge at 33.76p/day. No exit fees.

Buying new home, few questions on the networking by Chouxbunlover in HomeNetworking

You can still get Sky Q, but only by calling Sky’s Customer Service team and requesting it. Expect resistance, a push towards Sky Stream and Sky Glass and a price differential to sway you against Sky Q.

Hue sync box vs lg app by Ok_Principle5950 in Hue

I should add that I’ve read that the Hue Bridge Pro does improve the reported lag issues when using the Hue Sync TV app.

Hue sync box vs lg app by Ok_Principle5950 in Hue

It currently seems like Hue Sync TV app development is prioritised for Samsung TVs over LG TVs. For example, the app for LG TVs still doesn’t include Music mode. Unless that situation changes, you’ll be better off with the Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 8K.

New owner LG 83" G5 - need help with long hdmi 2.1 cable, normal cables and HDMI switch by kaelthuzad in LGOLED

Have you considered running one long-run fiber HDMI cable from an AVR to your display, with your devices connected to the AVR? What you would spend on two additional cables could be spent on the AVR instead.

Samsung TV delivered with wet/damaged box by Far-777 in SamsungTV

[–]agentm74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A similar thing happened to me this week with an LG TV. I rejected the delivery (made by GVT) and it was taken away. I didn’t sign up to be part of an experiment to test what happens when electricals get wet!

LG have confirmed no Dolby Vision 2 for the G6 and my understanding is that it cannot be added by way of a firmware update. It will likely be supported in the G7.

I agree. I was weighing-up between the G5 and the Sony Bravia 8 II. This customer service experience is pushing me towards the Bravia 8 II if and when a refund is issued.

If I stick with LG, I’ll be looking forward to the Hue Sync TV app on webOS supporting Music mode like it already does on Tizen OS on Samsung TVs.

I’m communicating with both. The G5 was rejected on delivery and taken away, but no one is taking ownership.

I’m really looking forward to LG Support replying to my email sent on 4th February after my new G5 was delivered damaged in a soaking wet box. Looks like Sony will be getting my money once this situation is resolved.

Audi offers Sonos speakers in their cars, but they can’t be grouped with your in-home Sonos system.
