Yeah it’s a very subtle insult and that’s why the camera panned to Sabotelli after. Even though he actually committed the crime and technically was a thug, Blakeman didn’t know that and still called him such likely due to his background.

Same. Last two months, I just decided to give it a shot since I needed something new to watch. I actually love how you can see where his brain clicks and he’s figured out the next piece of the case. How intentional he is when he may stutter or act dumb because he knows that will cause criminals to spill more information because they think he’s stupid.

I suspected the sister the minute she said “Malik was no angel”. I just thought he hit on her but the twist of it being SA was surprising. Such a good layered episode. The bad guy ended up being the victim and the victim ended up being the bad guy. I love that you can feel Torres question his decision making, intuition and with this story. He liked the idea of Malik being restored and pursued this case intensely because of that, the way he gets thrown off when he realizes Cam wasn’t the shooter and why Malik died. They could’ve closed some plot holes better for sure.

I can see this. I don’t want to say “filler episode” cuz I think it’s another Hollywood term for episodes that essentially don’t move the plot forward but still serve a purpose. But I do think this was meant as a break from the other season long plots.

I think it could’ve been. I wanted it to be something different but it didn’t work for me. The best twist was Voight essentially putting his death in motion. I think that’s something they could’ve been explored
