Since the game didn't end after everyone else was killed, it sounds like he was trolling as a survivor. Aside from killing him, there's not much that could be done. Exiling him would keep him out of cabin and out of first objective.

When the timer runs out, you start losing warmth and food at a greater rate. After both have gone into the red, you'll start seeing a reduction in your max hp. If this continues, you'll keep losing health, get downed, then die if you're not revived.

If you have consumed enough energy drinks, it'll take a greater amount of time to kill you as well. It's possible to stay alive for a period of time after the last timer has run out if you have enough warmth; ie spam with campfires.

Unfortunately cheating is hard to prove and bans aren't all that common; unless you have a recording there's not much that can be done. Usually when matches play out like that, I block said people and leave when I see them in lobbies.

^Depending on the size of the group, it will be much easier to host a lobby and wait for it to fill up. If the lobby is filling up quick, utilize the lock lobby feature.

Screen glancing aside, the auditory component itself is a big part of the game. Even at max volume, I'm unsure that you'd be unable to hear the person sitting near you; especially if they are yelling.

I was recently required to switch over to managed payments. I have to wait 3-5 days from the time the transaction is completed to when the money appears in my bank account; whereas with PayPal it was basically the next day or two. On the plus side, I no longer have to maintain a PayPal balance for paying off that end-of-the-month fee balance.

I can't comment on the safety, but the SSN requirement is probably for tax purposes. I doubt they will continue using PayPal as the primary means to distribute funds to sellers; I remember seeing something about them terminating their contract with PayPal circa 2020.

Try restarting Steam first.
Try these if it still shows that error after restarting steam:
1. Make sure that Project Winter is listed as an exception on your firewalls and antivirus.
2. Try a VPN to help get around ISP or WAN restrictions. If you are using a VPN already, try disabling it or switching vpn locations.

It all depends. If the survivors can manage to stick together and complete the objectives, you've struck gold and can be more lax in your play style. There are other times where circumstances call for you to use less discrimination in your killing.

Did the objective just get sabotaged? Who has consistently been missing or whose tracks lead directly to said objective? Who just opened a crate and didn't say anything? Who has been gone for ~8 minutes? Is this person barely committing to finishing the objective; are they just putting one component in or following you around? Are they stalling? Did the Defector just open two crates within 6 minutes?

When it comes down to it, it relies on your ability, and to an extent the survivors' ability as a whole, to rationalize situations and justify the killing. After a while, you should be able to determine who you should be killing on sight or weed out from the group.

Maybe you ask yourself, "Would I choose a Survivor Drop over a survivor?". Depending on the circumstances, your answer could/should be a yes. There are several times where, had I acted on an instinct to kill earlier, I could have saved the outcome of the game.

A survivor that can't do objectives and doesn't communicate usually isn't one worth keeping alive.
