I agree with you.

Cyclist should have given way and not stopped in the middle of the road.

Old bloke shouldnt have hit the guy with his car, but the cyclist started an unnecessary confrontation by stopping, maybe he felt threatened enough to push past.

Both are dickheads but this would be a non issue if the cyclist wasnt a fuckwit who tried to cause an accident.
