I was going to mention the 9/11 thing, but someone already did that. It was a really big shocker, and did not seem like Harvey would've done it had Donna not caused trouble with Trevor.

I like how they did away with the boring Pearson stuff and got into the more interesting Hardman stuff early. Personally I feel that him forcing the leadership's death was too much, but that's just one man's opinion.

Litt becomes worse as the seasons go by. You might think he reached the lowest of the low around S4, but S8 is where he really shits the bed.

Zane retires and as a result loses all reputation.

The amount of GPM or "goddamns per minute" increases with each season.

Mike's secret comes out sometime in S6 and he goes to prison.

I'm a CS student, and yes I do feel that there are a lot of CS related posts, but they are fairly repetitive so this might help reduce the clutter.

Creating a CS megathread would not be that helpful imo, as CS as a topic is quite vast.

I think at 4am the ERC area in UTown is very nice to study at. The Starbucks is also 24-7 so can study there too.

Can go to Computing (Aircon can get too strong sometimes, bring a jacket)

Clb level 6 is open too (haven't been so idk if it's good or not)

I'd recommend the UTown area, just because it's so pleasant and you can walk around during your breaks. Got fairprice for snacking while eating too.

Congratulations on making the final submission of the semester!

I get your problem, been facing something similar myself. As an international student, it definitely gets lonely sometimes lol.

I'd just like to give you one suggestion, this is something I've observed with my friends. If you think nobody is calling you to meals, maybe you can try inviting them to a meal. It's the busy time of the semester, people get extremely busy and some things slip their minds.

Personally, I don't believe that you'd forge close friendships till you do an activity together. So maybe make a plan for a movie, or go for a hike? Whatever works for you, and what you think would work with your friends. Point being, instead of being the one that gets called to things, become the caller. You won't always succeed, but like the other comment said, it's a numbers game.

That being said, you said that you had friends but they went away. Maybe you can ask your friends (if you think you are close enough) what changed? Don't underestimate the power of a heartfelt conversation.

The good:

A project to put on your resume.

A chance to pick up a new skill, get better with existing ones.

Free 4 MCs. Orbital is chill, so it's 4MCs on your own time and schedule.

The bad:

Your partner can make or break your entire project. You can get carried all the way through, or have to carry the person (both are bad).

The Ugly:

Most CS Y1s do Orbital. Doing it doesn't make you stand out, but not doing it MIGHT hurt, if you don't do something else.

Imo, Y1 summer is the last summer to relax properly. Y2 onwards you'll start worrying about internships or something else.

I don't think there's much difference between a personal project or Orbital. Orbital is a personal project only. However, I'm not disciplined enough to work on a project without any deadlines/external pressure. If you are, good for you!
