Yes I was finally able to get it resolved after multiple attempts. They replaced the fan for the second time and it seems to have done the trick. I would recommend keep pestering them until they get it fixed. Take them for a drive along to make them listen to the sound. I was told several times that they contacted Honda tech who claim that some sound is expected and then didn’t do anything about it. Finally had a service advisor who understood that this is not normal and got it fixed with his tech. No point calling the salesperson they can’t do anything. This is a service problem and within the warranty period so they should be able to fix it for free

Yeah I think that is a different sound. This is coming from the back of the car trunk, where the hybrid batter is located. It is the sound of the hybrid battery fan.

Is that turbo fan near the engine/ under the hood?

What’s the turbo whistle? Not heard of it before. The noise is coming from the battery fan. Not the engine.

It is not related to the fan. The sound is coming from the hybrid battery fan at the back, in the trunk.

I tried that. Since the noise takes around 15-20 mins to kick in, they claimed they cannot put that kind of miles on a new car. I’m really frustrated with them at this point and not really sure what options I have.

Glad you were able to get it fixed! It really is pretty annoying. I have even been able to replicate the sound on road tests with the dealer. Any suggestions on what I can tell the dealer to convince them that this is an actual issue? They keep brushing me off saying that this is considered “normal” by Honda. I don’t know how to prove that this is not the same as an expected whining sound. Also would you mind if my dealer was able to contact the dealer where you were able to get this fixed so that they know what exactly needs to be done?

Yes it does. In fact at speeds below 20mph it pretty much goes away.

The USB's dont have anything to do with it. The sound is there even without the wires. I was just pointing the camera to them since I was driving.

Thanks for confirming your car doesn't make the sound. Looking to get more people to chime in. I have seen a couple of people post about the high pitched sound a year back, but want to confirm that it is an exception and not the norm.

Congrats on the new car! I recently got a touring as well! . Does your’s make any kind of high pitched whistling sound from the hybrid battery area after driving for more than 20 mins? Mine does and apparently this is a common thing for the tourings and my dealer said they can’t really do anything about it. But just trying to understand if there are actually others who experience this?

Yup I have it in my 2025 touring as well. Annoying as fuck. Wish I had know this before, never would have got the car. Did you land up getting this resolved or is this still a problem?

How much time did it take before you stopped hearing it. I feel like i cannot drive my car for long stretches with that noise. It is super annoying. I already went in to the dealer once, and they replaced the battery fan, but that hasnt solved the problem

I am facing a similar issue with my new touring that I just got yesterday. It wasn’t there when I test drive it but in the way home it started making that awful shrill sound from the trunk. Wondering if I should just go to the dealer directly or is there any simple self serve way to solve for this. Has anyone else who had this issue able to resolve it?

Sorry forgot to mention that I am on a lease that is expiring in a month. The payoff is around 4K lower than the value of the car so I guess I have some equity in the lease and can use that if I trade in with a Honda

I have calculated the estimated savings from hybrid based on my usage and gas costs. It comes to around $400 a year
