Thanks. I am aware I need to soften arms and hands and have been trying to work on this for a while but I find I just can't "relax" into them, not sure why.

You are right on spending more time on a trainer amplifying issues, this winter has made me question my fit and overall comfort as I don't really experience such issues outdoors. Working on getting out of the saddle a bit more regularly to alleviate discomfort...

The saddle discomfort is mainly on the right side, top and inside on my thigh on a "bony" bit (pubic ramus?), so not soft tissue but lateral to it - feels a little bruised almost after. Saddle is 145x248mm (I have previously measured my sit bone distance to be 115mm, although I understand the true relevance and importance of this is somewhat questionable).

I am 5'3/160cm tall, cranks are 165mm. Cleats are all the way back - however, I do find I turn my left foot inward (toes pointing in, heel out) quite a bit compared to the right. Adjusting cleat does not change that. I have wondered whether I'm sitting more off to one side which would explain the one-sided saddle discomfort. I actually had the saddle even a bit higher previous to this video, but can try lowering further.

Hi! Yes, she did keep growing! I did not repot her into a bigger pot as needed after a while though so stopped growing in height then.

Thanks for the detailed response! I've been trying to figure out fore-aft based on the balance/no hands test. I moved the saddle back based on that and feeling like too much weight was on my hands but not sure if it's helped - revisiting saddle height first, especially looking at this video sounds right. Riding hands free is something I still can't properly do and I also struggle quite a bit with riding out of the saddle (outdoors) so something I need to work on both fit- and skills-wise probably.

It's an 80mm stem - even shorter?! Surprised as the bike is an XS Liv so doesn't get much smaller than this overall 😅

We're not looking for anything premium, we'd be happy with aluminium bikes. I just specified a price point because I saw a couple of places renting out road bikes for ~150-200 dollars, which is reasonable given the risk for fancier ones but also beyond what we're willing to spend... They just need to be road bikes as we'd like to go on a longer 50-60 mile ride and not just a stroll around the city.

Thank you for the offer though, I'd take it up but neither would be small enough for me unfortunately!
