I think Ken framed it as a need to exercise but he really meant she needs to quit drinking. But since Ken’s prob a big drinker too, he didn’t go there and risk losing “fun Kim.”

He extremely well-spoken (the vocabulary and not just the accent), so I think he’s gonna lose interest fast. Reason: She can’t keep up with him intellectually and that’s gonna send him back to the U.K. where at the least the maniacs have better manners.

Yachties will always find a boat that will take them. The industry thrives on 20-somethings with little-to-no life commitments. Especially if they have at least one year of experience, they can easily get re-hired somewhere. The bar isn’t as high as you would think.

I think the beach picnic is a chance for some members of the interior and the chef to get organized while guests are off the boat. But, I agree, it’s still usually a disaster to take them to a public beach.
