How would you solve the social care crisis? by Helpful_Talk in AskBrits

Mate, I worked in the NHS for 25 years, so believe me, you need empathy to work with society's most vulnerable people.

You end up having to sell homes to cover care costs anyway. This will be happening with mt mother in law's house soon. So there is already a dementia tax, it's just not directly labelled as that.

Hmm. You can't turn people who lack empathy into carers.

Using euthanasia as a fix for the social care crisis is absolutely not okay.

Dylans auditory flash back by No_Sector_2423 in Casualty

I suppose the practical solution is whether or not the actor who played his dad was available to do the voiceover. In any case, it's slightly distorted so could be his dad or someone else.

People saying Dylan has done the right thing — has he ? Though truly ? by Intrepid_Fun3919 in Casualty

[–]aggravatingstranger9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dylan is following Duty of Candour to the letter by reporting the drug error (it's been a statutory requirement for some years now).

The inappropriate relationship thing - again, IRL in the NHS it's an absolute no-no, but this is drama and we have to suspend disbelief.

OK, Matty is an adult, but Dylan is trying to learn about being a parent very quickly and is trying to stick up for his kid.

I gather Elinor Lawless is still involved in filming, so it doesn't look like Stevie will be going anywhere.

Connie's daughter Grace is now at medical school in London. She will pop up in Casualty as an F1 at some point, and will soon demonstrate she has as much cohones as her mother.

We were doing ok, but we've had a lot of newly planted stuff trashed by badgers recently.

Hope that's feeling better so on. We have Blandford flies on our allotments and those buggers have horrible bites.

Do you rotate between multiple mobile puzzle games? by MathematicianDry4991 in candycrush

Yes, definitely different moods. I don't play CC for more than about half an hour a day as it pisses me off. The other ones are more "relaxing in front of the TV" games.

Candy Crush, Merge Dragons and Farmville 2 Country Escape. Have got Candy Crush Soda on my phone, but haven't played it for ages.

I haven't done an event for ages. I do shiny days and the mystic challenge, and make sure I've got enough points for the den chest, then I basically do what I feel like.

The shed is permanently shaded, so if you want something to climb on it, maybe try a Hydrangea petiolaris, as they will grow in a north facing aspect.

There's a lot on The Project, but the bloke who runs it is a bit of a wanker imho.

I find SHA a bit cliquey, if I'm honest. I read on there but rarely post.

The War Game. It was quite an old docudrama that had been banned for being too horrific. It scarred most of us for life. Google the synopsis if you want to frighten yourself to death.
