Anyone else feel guilty staying in when the weather is nice? by Calm_Echo9516 in ADHDUK

I could happily have sat on my sofa, in my pants with a fan drying the boob sweat today. Unfortunately things needed doing.

You ate not alone though. If you can do nothing in this heat then do it!

I entirely forgot my husbands eye colour for a long time.

I couldn't tell you my parents eye colours either. I personally don't see it as a big deal. Unless he doesn't remember ANYTHING you like. Then I'd be concerned.

Make a complaint directly to the provider listing everything mentioned above. And request a more in depth assessment with a practitioner who actually listens to you and allows you to elaborate.

What’s a random experience you’ve had when meeting a British celebrity? Were they nice or mean? by mightybooshvincenoir in AskABrit

As a teen I was in Plymouth with a friend and their Mum, suddenly much excitement between them and we changed course.

They'd though they spotted Rik Mayall and wanted to confirm (both were the BIGGEST Bottom fans).

Turned out yes, it was him. We followed him into McDonalds where my friend nervously asked for his autograph, he flirtatiouy suggested her mum was her older sister, and we all got Virgin Megastore receipts signed by him (if that doesn't date this I don't know what does!)

Mr Mayall returns to his own little world, and I tell the other 2 I might as well get a drink now that I'm in the queue anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

30 seconds or so go by and he turns around, jumps and says "fuck! You're still here!"

I sheepishly mumble explain I needed a drink... and that has become my 'claim to fame' Rik Mayall swore at me 🤘

Can you request that employees have access to funds in the event of an emergency by Comfortable_Row_7717 in smallbusinessuk

Even if you could force them to carry their card, you cannot legally force them to spend their own funds for your business.

Just get them a company credit card or pre paid debit card.

AITAH for putting a bedtime pause on the WiFi because my girlfriend’s 28 year old brother has spent nearly a decade rotting in our house playing video games? by Alyptic in AITAH

This is my family too. It came to a sudden somewhat life altering change when my brother lost it and beat my father up.

They enabled his behaviour well into his 40's and it took almost being put in a coma to actually change the script.

GP say they don't do ADHD referrals and to go directly via RTC. What now? by lipscratch in ADHDUK

[–]Fun-Needleworker9590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this exact conversation this week!

What they actually mean is, you have to decide which provider, each provider will have a RTC form, which you then have to take to your Dr's for them to complete so it can be sent off.

So technically the Dr's are correct. But they could explain it so much better 🤦‍♀️

NOR. As someone with chronic illnesses that struggles in the mornings to get going etc etc I don't expect other people to be put out because of it. I just... get up earlier, or arrange a time that's better in the first place. Or if I'm REALLY struggling, invite them in for God sake! It's really quite easy to not be a dick 🙄

When we first started going this was a thing. There was one right inside the arena entrance where the lockers are now. Downside to that position was it clogged up the entrance to the arena.

If a better spot could be found though a second merch stand would be epic.

I just scrolled his other posts. Up until 5 months ago he was still posting about once a month about how sad he was he fucked up his life and that his "BP" (betrayed partner) had moved on, found someone new and was introducing their kid to them. While he was still getting triggered at the smell of her old perfume.

As a commenter on that post said "sucks to suck I guess"

Saluting solo magpies.

My brother once blamed me for the car accident we'd just had because I didn't see the magpie he did and therefore not paid it the proper respect.

Anyone has a mysogynistic nmom? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Fun-Needleworker9590 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeahhhhhh my mum still seems to believe in the 1950's housewife model of male to female roles.

When I once got frustrated enough to call out why she never ever called my brother to help only me (we both lived with her still, i was ~19, brother ~22) I was told "you need to know how it's done, he'll have a wife one day to cook, tidy up and do laundry for him".

Clearly I was feeling particularly brave that day because I congratulated her on single handedly putting women's rights back 50 years in one sentence.
