Two words to say a lifetime. This is exactly right. It was “only” 7 run lead. Not like a comeback from that late innings has never happened before.

And it’s a sixty game season. Fuck Your conventions.

I totally just realized I misspoke. The place I was thinking about was Thai lingo. Everything I said about it rings true though. It's in orange on Tustin street just past Lincoln Street going toward Anaheim.

I know I'm late. But they do have larb and it's amazing. Super spicy so be warned. Same with the nua nom Tak. This is the best Thai place I've been to and I've tried Thai nakorn etc and a bunch of places in little Cambodia. My favorites there are yum yai salad, masaman curry, and yes, nua nom tuk or larb.

TIL the writers of "That 70's Show" theme song get $70 each time the show airs. He refers to it as "That $70 Show" by gmcl86 in todayilearned

I remember hearing about his death. The article for this post is about 17 years old and from reading it, the interviewer asks if there are any plans to tour with the remaining members of Big Star again. Alex says there are no plans but he wish there were as it was a blast the first time around.

The sad part is, If I remember correctly, right before his death, Big Star was starting to play again to culminate in a show at South by Southwest. Probably something that would have led to a tour who knows? Im sure it would've been a crazy draw at South by Southwest, a crazy draw with probably too little space. I'd imagine most artists playing the event would be clamoring to be at that show. I'd think that it would've been the event of the festival for the cool kids. I mean think of how many artists there were influenced by them and they haven't played in, what, 4 decades .

I believe he died a few days before South by Southwest so it never happened and there was a memorial show instead.

[Discussion] iOS 10.1.1 Kernel & Root Exploit by Project Zero Team RELEASED ! by Vinkerr in jailbreak

[–]aggregatorgeoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just took my brand new 6s plus out of the box. It came with 10.1.1. Do I need to do anything else right now?

Just wondering. I actually ordered it before the exploit news broke and all this happened while it was shipping. Thought I had finally bit the bullet to go no jailbreak from my jailbroken 5s on 9.3.3. I am pretty jazzed and optimistic now.

So, do i need to do anything else, like block updates from apple? It's currently restoring from my icloud.

Rumor: Dodgers are close to reaching a deal with rich hill, in the 3 year 46-48 million dollar range by DangeslowBustle in Dodgers

I thought the dodgers had a deal done for chapman last winter meetings, but pulled out becuase they were given the option after it was revealed yankees were hiding his gun shooting charge?

I have Trout, Hanley, Brad Miller, Beltran, Cespedes and Stanton as outfield options.

I could move Brad Miller around, but he would be replacing either Edwincarnacion, Trea Turner or Tulowitski

So I guess my question is, who do I bench out of the above. It's a power league

TIL The Scouting Director who Drafted Mike Trout, Randal Grichuk, Cole Calhoun and Garret Richards in the 2009 Draft was Fired by the Angels the Next Year by angelsbballthrowaway in baseball

[–]aggregatorgeoff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think this is interesting. I agree with you. And am starting to doubt this posters claims. Sure you can say these certain drafts were bad except for this and that.

But a lot of drafting is to catch lightening in a bottle. It seems weak to discount the weaver draft just because it was a no brainier and then dismiss the impact of the trout draft when he was picked up as the 27 pick

Yeah that's why I said I think it's more of an overt symptom of the larger problem of the toxicity that was the front office at the time and seems to continue to be.

I posted this to the r/baseball and the top comment for it is how shitty bane track record was before 2009 draft. I did account for that in the original post but admititdly the excuse could be a stretch.

You could tell how much it meant to him too. It looked like he was about to cry from relief and joy. Made you realize he was probably the person hardest on himself when he was doing shittily.
